Ironic how Barry always claims to care so much about opportunities for kids to play sport in this country and wants more focus on it, yet he’s also happy to ship all of the events held here over to Saudi Arabia in order to make a quick buck. Respect him a lot as a businessman and think he’s great at it, but equally a massive hypocrite.

I get it. I love boxing. I have just watched in the space of a year all the dream fights I want and more to come. No atmosphere but I'm going to have to get past that plus some of these fighters some people or casuals have not heard with some upsets along the way. When you have a builder changing his life over night rather than giving it up or getting a grand for a fight over here it's hard to argue.

When we went to the world final 5-6 years ago, you had to buy beer vouchers before going to the bar. The sign above the bar said it closed at 10:30pm so we stocked up on vouchers to save queuing twice. Then because the match was looking likely to be over fairly quickly we went out to buy the rest of our drinks only to find the bar was closed at 9:30pm with no way for us to get a voucher refund. As a group this cost us £50 in unclaimed vouchers. Felt robbed!!!

The same thing happened to a group of us at the O2 darts final a few years ago, we weren’t even told what time the bar was closing😪😪😪

Someone is making a killing, when you consider ticket prices, attendance numbers, sales inside the venues across the premier league season plus broadcast rights! Seems that players are making a good living but it should be a higher purse given the revenue base.

Thats over an 18 week period so not nearly as much as other sports players are paid. £17,500 per week. Yes its a lot of money but its not just the darts games he has to do. Its all the media days on the wednesdays and promos he has to do.

He speaks so much rubbish He says snooker is a great business, but in reality ronnie osullivan keeps snooker going, and ronnie is paid fortunes just to stay in snooker. Without ronnie everyone knows snooker would be a bore fest today, and have no appeal, and this hearn claims snooker today is wonderful He is a total bullshitter, always selling his lies. People like hearn is always looking to exploit people for there own benefit, not for the benefit of the sport. Barry hearn is a total and utter vulture, and his kind has ruined sports for alot of people Brain clough used to hate agents and you can see why when people like barry hearn speak.

The players should be paid properly. They fill stadiums and TV. And sponsors.

Privileged (hard working nonetheless) sportsmen should be paid more, but gamblers need to pay more on already edged bets according to Barry.

Hearn making the money and players getting robbed. 17 weeks and 5k plus venues and they payout £275k for winning the prem league of darts. 7-10 million I would guess from watching for 17 weeks and nevermind the sponsorship. Unless your in top 8 and winning, dart players are not making much after tax.
