Batuk takes the watch back from scrap seller as it is Aniruddh's last belonging. Batuk is successful in letting Aniruddh's father know about Tupur and he breaks off the wedding. Batuk refuses Bondita to go to Kolkata to receive an award, which surprises her. Later, she confesses that she got doubtful about Aniruddh but Batuk manages to convince her.
In a bid to save an 8-year-old girl from becoming the victim of Sati, Anirudh marries a curious and tyrant girl Bondita. At a time when women education was considered sinful, Anirudh educates Bondita and makes her the first “Barrister Babu” of their region. Will their imperfect marriage turn into a successful relationship? Will Anirudh succeed in his mission to gain independence for the women in his country?

The bitter truth for colors is that now u will loose many of the viewers Colors has always been partial against barrister babu Inspite of more trp than mollki, thoda sa badal thoda sa pani, balika vadhu and thapki u r off airing it. But why is this show coming to an end like this??? ..the show didn't show anything of which they had shown us a vision of .I.e wiping out the social evils from the society...yes they have shown the difficulties that were experienced by the women at every stage of life during that period.....but after growing up and finally becoming a barrister ...where did she fight a muqadma??? She just fought one that too her personal one i.e proving her husband innocent...but what about that widow remarriage case?
