Barriers are blocking or changing the intended meaning of message.

1. Language Barriers - include the language differences and knowledge, linguistic skills, faulty translations, and use of jargons.
2. Psychological Barriers - the state of the mind affected by emotions and emotional IQ. Also called emotional barriers.
3. Physiological Barriers - the limitations of body and mind due to disabilities.
4. Physical Barriers - the noise itself, the breakdown brought by faulty equipment and geographical distance.
5. Attitudinal Barriers - affected by the values, perceptions and personal factors of the receivers and senders.
6. Cultural Barriers - the diversed geographical norms, behaviors, and standards.
7. Environmental Barriers - about the situation and the location set up.
