Okay I *love* this band and I'm feeling 🥺 because I just realized this song might have been Barrie's doomed love letter to her own band. Like she knew the end was coming and couldn't stop it. • iirc, they stopped touring together a couple months after this video came out • the video is her alone, remembering amazing times with all five of them • "running out of things in kind / running out of common lines" = creative differences • "gonna get you overnight / gonna get you all the time" = touring together • "keep me here for a while / you can leave when you like"… I mean, c'mon. heartbreaking. • "you're writing your name on everything" = Barrie talking about herself. • "walking up the stairs of your building" = achieving success… • "still learning all the light switches" = …but you haven't scratched the surface of what you could do. (so why stop now?) • Darjeeling = maybe the name of the bar from the first verse? Or some other in-reference between all five of them

We can’t forget Canyons and neither can we forget Tal Uno- Barrie was a great band from the start.

Darjeeling is a famous tourist town in India. It boasts of beautiful hills and mountain views. Unlike the popular notion that India has a warm tropical climate, which is true, Darjeeling remains cool throughout the year due to its high altitude, making it pleasant all year round for visitors from cool temperate zones too. And of course, their teas are great too... But back to basics, Never Have I Ever brought me here, such a lovely piece of music.

@@MrInichy Hazel English, Fazerdaze, Tops and Widowspeak are all quite similar Craft Spells, Seapony, Small Black, and Washed Out are kinda similar but more jangley/breezey
