I know what transcribed means why was it so important to put in the opening of all or almost all OTR detective shows.

I think it was a disclosure. They are letting the listener know it's not live. Then with a fancy name like "transcribed," instead of "pre-recorded" it was sort of a marketing angle as well. At least that's my understanding, someone let us know if there's a better explanation!😀

@@HearthandHomeEntertainmentinteresting, I’ve only heard it on detective shows but I obviously haven’t heard every OTR show so it could be elsewhere and I just haven’t come across it. Appreciate the reply and if I start to annoy you just let me know. I contribute and do fact checking for a couple of channels and Ive seen and been told that interaction helps traffic, if people see the channel is responsive more people participate but I’m sure you know that already.

Much enjoying this series but I do find Barrie a little too avuncular. I know Barrie is 'laid-back' but it always surprises me, at the end of an episode when he gets the girl.

@@HearthandHomeEntertainment every so called private detective, can't see their hit on their head or waylaid in some way and always gets the girl in 30 minutes or less or at least the girl wants to get him. That was the beauty of these radio shows you know exactly what's going to happen by how much time is left on the clock
