Lakey Peak located on the island of Sumbawa is one of the most well known and perfect A-Frames in Indonesia. It can definitely be fickle at this time of year with trade winds usually blowing hard and cross shore by mid-morning. However, all the elements came together a few days ago producing some of the most flawless waves we've seen so far this season.
Local rippers Oney Anwar, Dedi Gun, and a handful of others really took advantage of the uncrowded conditions and traded barrel after barrel until the tide pushed in fattening things up.

Was my first trip outside Bali. Now at 49 I look back at it as the best indo wave of ever rode if not the best in my life. I was 20 fit and ripped. Met an Australian shaper in tubes and got a 3 board quiver. One was destroyed on the bus ferry ride over there. Was there for almost a week. Seems like yesterday.
The young ones riding and watching recognized and enjoyed how beautiful the nature of the waters can be. Sometimes not so nice as this. Very nice.
Surfed here in 1989. 4 guys, no resorts times change the waves don't memories

Beautiful wave that day and awesome footage. 6 in the water too WTF!! it had 20 on it all day when I was there. Have they sent all the Aussies home yet? God I wish I was stranded there!! fml :(
