Coming from the recent Ben Eunson post! Thank you for sending me here! I have been in standard 4ths tuning for a couple days now. I am liking it so much more for lead, but after seeing this video, I feel no longer discouraged about developing a harmonic vocabulary. Rock on!

Really excellent presentation. I thought the exact same thing about Alex Hutchings' explanation.

Hey, this is great, thank you! I’m a 4ths tuning nut for 5 years now, and like you show here, have discovered all these versatile 2, 3 and 4 note chords. In order to classify them for my own use, instead of naming them for the root, they’re named for the melody or top note, as “3rd on top”, “5th on top”, “flat 7 on top”, etc. Good to hear you're starting a group in which ideas are shared. BTW, there is a mistake (13:08) in calling the D (5th fret) F# (4) C (5) E (4) A (4) a D 13, as it would need a B, it’s a dominant 9 of course. Good stuff! 😅

    Loving your channel! I use a C# F# B E A D tuning with heavy string gauge. Give it a try!! Keep em coming,mate. 😁

Dude, thank you for these fourths lessons! it's so hard to find solid info on this approach; yours is excellent. Please keep exploring it! ps. Also, you may want to explore grid controllers tuned in 4ths like the Linnstrument, Ableton Push, etc. (and def an audience out there seeking to learn them!)

also, random thought but in order to show fretboard map in realtime. Bitwig studio has a visual 4ths grid map and if you snagged the jam origins midi guitar vst, you'd be off and running.

Thank you! Really nice to get some positive reinforcement since it’s been pretty quiet so far. But I knew there had to be others out there interested in this stuff. Btw I did get a linnstrument! Early Christmas gift to myself. I’ve had a push 2 for a while but it feels off to me. Only had the linnstrument for a few days but it’s exactly what I wanted. I’ll be dropping a video on some sus chord stuff soon that you might like

I put together a simple approach for doing little visualizations of the fretboard stuff while I’m talking about it. The new sus chord video will have it, hopefully you check it out and let me know what you think
