Barramundi FISHING with the boys WOULD YOU EAT THIS? Remote Northern AUSTRALIA

These boys dont waste anything. Today we're out on Kokomenjena Country fishing for lunch with Samal, Zeik and Dendrik and they're showing us parts of the Barramundi that Iv never thought of eating but probably hold more nutrients than the rest of the flesh combined. Would you eat this?? The Indigenous Australians have an amazing knowledge of the land, waterways and all the critters that live within it. A knowledge that has been passed down for generations and with that knowledge comes the ability to live off the land with no assistance. This is something that I really admire. It may not be used as regularly these days but what we experienced out here on kokomenjena country showed us that some of this knowledge is still be passed down which was amazing to be around.
I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did.

Hi guys, these episodes out on traditional land with the young fellas are the best, I really like seeing the way food is prepared and also the other plants that can be consumed. But what really gives these particular vids a special feel is the background music, with that didgeridoo playing I could watch for hours. You two are so blessed to be invited onto their land and what a great bunch of blokes they are.

Legends! Another really cool ep mate! I’m loving this series Nath! Bit of fishing, bit of history, so much culture!! Which is the bit I’m really enjoying! A chilled out day, fishing and eating Barra over the coles! How bloody special man! I bet you loved this week or so in particular Nath, I can tell by the enthusiasm in your voice! Can really see your passion for it mate! Btw I love all of the content mate! Bluewater camping all the way to the spear making with traditional owners! A great balance of content! I do particularly love the tinny missions though! P.s. best shirt I have ever seen! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 Froth on legend

Hi guys, apologies for not commenting on the last few episodes. Been watching them on the tele and wouldn't have a clue how to comment on it. These episodes have been amazing. The interaction between you all is amazing. Just shows what respect can do. Really enjoyed the spear making. It makes you wonder how and when the resin was discovered. Such a beautiful place too. And the fishing, yeah. Keep up the great videos. I think that you've got the mix pretty good. A little blue water stuff mixed in with the creeks, rivers, camping, cooking, exploring, etc, etc, etc. Still want to see the black headed python clip. As long as it has two eyes. 🤔

Maybe let us all know a GoFundMe for the museums that protect the old ways? There’s already so many catch and cook run and dive solo missions out there. That’s cool but wild reaches there’s like only one of you doing your work! When I get more money in I’m donating to you all! Patron? You mates are the real deal! They dropped me off on the Ord one morning to fish for the day with a couple who lived on the bank..Dutch I think.. they were fantastic. Taught me indigenous craft etc go figure.. Epic day though. I caught my first Barra cooked it on the coals, kept the stomach fat sack in for flavour.... they said it was the traditional way It was awesome.. I feel you have the content mix pretty good. Keep doing what you blokes feel is right. A nice touch would be to hear how the traditional owners went about living before white man influence. Eg. How the f...k do you catch a Barra without a rod and lure ?.
