Always knew I wanted to use barrage since the betas and still at level 67 holding my own in level 30+ nightmare dungeons with surprisingly high damage and decent survivability and abysmal clear times, I'm pleased at how barrage is scaling late into the game. Not the most optimized but solid for what I threw together. Barrage overall best core skill, change my mind.

New to Diablo! and I'm loving it obviously and addicted I might add. (my girlfriend hates it) but I just got to Lvl 51. Beat the boss and just got to World Tier III. I've been using Barrage build. Its great and I think this is my play style. Been thinking about other builds, but I know barrage very well and I'm used to playing it, so seeing that you are playing it, gives me motivation to just stick with it. I don't know much about aspects, weapons, gear and paragons. So I'm a newbie. But any advice or recommendation would be greatly appreciated. Will you be putting the aspects, abilities and paragons to use in your next video? How can I get notified of when you release this video? Thanks alot! (btw - i've watched a few channels so far about Diablo - yours is by far the best i've come across) Keep doing your thing!

As someone who just cleared the capstone T3 dungeon to enter T4 at 62 on my Barrage rogue, I can say without a doubt this was a struggle. I would love to see any tips, tricks, info or setup. I had a hard time choose what imbuements to run in tandem. Also, do you have any thoughts on using a bow over a xbow? I am trying to build a real "at ranged" fantasy with bows dmg to distant/core dmg etc without going Pen-shot. I just love Barrage the most.

Is it possible to use only barrage like rapid fire i wonder if we can gather all the item about energy reduce cost, lucky hit + atk speed. Use all 3 imbuements with ult shadow clone. high speed gameplay like sorcerer icicle thingy xD that would be fun

Do you think Penetrating shot or barrage is better? Now that Barrage got like a 10 percent buff.

Ooh finally a person of culture. I think Rapid Fire is awesome in PVP, if you like ranged play. But, Flurry is also really cool if you use Mangler's Aspect and Trick Attacks, you can juggle enemies in the air and 1 shot them.

I'm a simple person: I see rogue gameplay, I leave a like on rogue gameplay :D

Do you purposely not run cold imbue because you don't have penitent grieves (ie, not using frigid fin)? Or just a personal pref?

he has em he just goes for more raw dmg but i like shadow / ice imbue aswell with barrage or even pen shot.

What legendary aspects do you run for this barrage build? PS. Great channel btw. Good to see new D4 yt channels pushing quality content

Pene shot with poison imbue + conceal with crit node, one shots most builds if not dodged

I think I'm going to full send into a barrage build

Here's what I run instead: Inner Sight (Not combo points) Invigorating Strike (For the crazy energy regen) You don't need puncture cause u can get vulnerable just by attacking enemies Barrage Cold Impument Shadow Impument Poison Trap The cold impument works really good on single target damage and CC enemies, just find it works better than poison impument.

I've also found combo points have just gotten kinda annoying for myself cause ur relying on hitting it everytime and constantly thinking about it, where inner sight or the other spec u just play passively and don't think lmfao

is it better than pen shot and if yes should I reroll to barrage at 61? Great video as usual btw

They're both great at different things. Penetrating Shot is amazing for AoE, and massive set up potential. Barrage is a more versatile build that is viable in a ton of different situations. It has a tad weaker AoE, but much better priority target damage (bosses, elites, etc)

It really depends on the content you're doing, both have lots to offer. Honestly, all rogue build are pretty viable atm, so I wouldn't focus on what is "better", rather go with what you feel is the most fun to you, and enjoy the game.

There was a post on reddit awhile back claiming that out of 533 tracked players, 89.3% used puncture... so basically yes.

Forceful arrow is another viable option. I highlight that in most of my build guides. The reason I use puncture is just because of how fast you can generate combo points with it.

You mention in comment below, that its "slight tad" lower in aoe than pen shot, what does that even mean? lol And in your opinion the imbue barrage is better than 2x trap barrage?

Basically it's comparable, but a bit worse. Maybe I should have been a bit more forward and just said worse, haha. But anyway, I personally believe double imbuement is the way. More consistent. When it comes to the double trapper variants, I feel like twisting blades is the best option for that. Just because otherwise, you have these massive downtime periods where you're waiting for cooldowns. Now, in an ideal world where you have max CDR on every single piece of gear; they can be great. But for most players, if I make a video on the double trapper barrage build - they will struggle because it's hard to convey just how important the CDR really is on those builds.

@@Valuedx while waiting for ur video guide, maxroll released their barrage guide and i tried it lol. not too bad. i had to switch my paragon board and lost like 1.5k atk power just from the board alone. But im sure I gained it somewhere else? Ive also tried a 3x imbue variant with barrage too, since I hate dealing with traps. its sort of similar to your 3x imbue penshot build. I think at the end of the day I think pen shot still better. I feel like im trying to line up my shotgunning more in barrage than I had to line up shots with pen shot

I am torn between barrage and rapid fire. I am playing atm rapid fire and doing good but it feels wonky sometimes if that stream of arrows miss by inch 1 mob which is left... any ups and downs for each one?

rapid fire actualy sucks when u cant kill the champion's packs and it doesnt pierce wich also freaking sucks i rly had the most sucess with pen shot / and barrage is decent once u get itt going.

@@SF_Savitar Yeah, I feel its working when its working :P but if dmg is too low or you cant get make chain explosions it falls off in certain areas. Tried pen shot and its fun for a few hours but cant see myself farming endgame with it. I found today condemnation so I guess gonna try to convert to barrage and see how its going

Like my highest poison imbued pen shots doing 1.6m, on avg like 800K~ I want to try the barrage builds but i dont wanna drop another 20m just to try it and switch back, i did that with rapid fire and didnt like it even with a fully rolled repeating

bruh why you made it looks like easy to play, the positioning, timing, and all. I'm also trying the penetrating build and currently at lvl 56 (with the shadow step) and dies easily with some elites. Also if possible can you upload a vid with these builds fighting Butcher? if ever you encounter him

Well I have played diablo titles for a very long time, so my mechanics are pretty much muscle memory now. I appreciate the kind words, and yeah I can show some butcher kills. He's not too bad, it's all about kiting him out.

If you feel like youre squishy you should prioritize stats such as “damage reduction from close enemies” and such, damage reduction in general is very strong at the moment, also %armor is very strong defensively. Dont bother getting resistance stats on gear since they are pretty much useless in the currenct state of the game. Also get two defensive aspects 1. Gain 20% damage redution after using a basic skill and 2. Gain % armor whenever you attack. You will feel a difference, i hardly ever die on my penetrating shot build, currently lvl 60

I'm using his pen shot build with some corrections depending on my available aspects (their roll), I respecced into pen shot at lvl 75 (which is even more complex, tons of paragon allocation, finding another set of gear etc) and the build is FANTASTIC. He does mention crucial features while switching builds, check his previous videos. Movement - you gonna get used to it, it was a bit of a struggle for me too with my melee rogue.

The key passive CQC? Interesting, I haven't really used that passive. Normally I've used momentum on my twisting blades/flurry builds - but sucks we can't use that on ranged builds.

@TheFitDragon same here. 15m is two full screen walks? Like why? I think this is the only situation where the game says meters lol. That % was not worth it for me, so I swapped it for more survivability in 30+NMD with my clan (I'm lvl 77 pen shot rogue).

You can play barrage at range, but I'm personally running some passives that make me more deadly in the close range haha.

This is a Tier 59 NM dungeon. This isn't a showcase for the highest nightmare dungeon in the world, this is a build showcase for my Barrage variant coming tonight. This isn't some world record or the highest pushed key, but 59 isn't a cakewalk.
