_"Captain Williams reporting in on this cold, frigid morning of.. I can't remember, it's been a little over three days since we departed Outpost Linea. Everything seems quiet, and at peace for once, considering the hell we've all nearly drowned in since we left that place with our orders. The Docs are keeping everyone ship shape, the eggheads in the reactor are keeping her steady.. If only these expeditions could stay like this more.." -Captain Justin Williams, 2045._

_"Day 5. Security came back from their expedition into the cave with pockets full of Poppies, Fiber Plants and Elastin. We've got enough Morphine and Fentanyl to make a Moloch overdose, enough Raptorbane extract to clear a nestful of the buggers, and enough Radiotoxin to microwave an Endworm. Not even a Husk outbreak can stop us now, I reckon. I've even managed to convince the engineers to put on insulated gloves when working with wires."_ _-Dr. Jonas, 2045._

"Day 17. I wish we lived on the surface despite it's irradiation, feels like we've been trapped down here for ages now. Stations are a great place to stretch but i do miss the sun's embrace of warmth and light. Mr.Johan seems usually irratiable, i recommended treatment but he refused; claiming he wasn't mad but enlightened. Every so often he'd dance with flailing limbs out and about in a absurd striped suit and mask. He oft spoke of a higher force that his actions no matter how drastic or...eventful that they were out of his control and that we were no different; honestly it seems like he's schizophrenic. It could be worse but i can't tell, not exactly my profession but i guess this could also be considered as potential medical aid for the mind, in any case i'll have to find a way to treat him before his sanity tears the ship asunder." -Nurse Ms.Mary Knight, 2045

@@terra2965 _"This is Captain Justin Williams of the submarine WH4-L3, "Humpback" and her crew, Day 20 of our mission at hand. I'm taking immediate notice of this 'Johan' character since the second he stepped onboard. Nothing more but an assistant who seems out for our 'stash of horns' and running around in some dusty, stained striped smock suit and some kind of cardboard mask, causing discomfort and weariness among my crew with his useless blathering on about something called the 'Honkmother.' I have a damn good mind to get a guard set on him, give his hopeless, drug-addled head a good whack or two and put him strictly under our medical team's supervision once they're done carrying out a light 'treatment' on him. I may not know much on medicine, but I know what a six volt battery and the blunt end of a stick can do to a man who won't heed."_ _-Captain 'Justin Williams', 2045._

@@LinearCircleOfficial "I am still quite puzzled as to how these people are so stuck in their own world, even when we are away from our blue marvel. They judge ever so harshly and do not second-guess what they even think! If they only knew... Things haven't been quite the same after Smith... Poor man. He was among the ones I tolerated, a decent enough man. But that damned Crawler. I won't trouble myself anymore, I have gotten over it. Europa is like that, always has been, always will be. Cruel. Whatever will happen, the Honkmother will help me through, yes- Yes... Yes, she will. The rest all despise me, but she is all I have left here in these hellish depths." -Conner E. Jonah, 2045.

I like to think of this as the "repairing the ship and getting your shit back together after being swarmed by like 50 crawlers" music

Yes
should be noted that apparently this piece doesn't play normally when smooth sailing. this track only plays at intensities 20-40 while the other smooth sailing tracks only play at 0-20. this might be why this one sounds new. Amendment: Obviously this piece plays now

I'm not entirely sure what the intensity levels mean. I assume they mean how much stress the submarine is under?

I love the second half, it tells you how lonesome the depths feel; traveling both lost amongst the stars and waves; just struggling to get by no matter how dire their situation away from the sub. All thats driving them is their own determination and will though the barotraumatic depths and horrifying xenomorphs that lie in wait under the water's unsightly veil.
I still remember the first time I heard this track. It was a mining side-expedition for the crew I was on, and I was one of the mechanics chosen to head out for it. We donned our suits, stepped into the airlock, and I gazed upon a sight most wondrous-An placid island of bioluminescent flora. Once the three of us headed into it, plasma cutters in tow, this theme began to phase in. The island then began to reveal its effects-A hallucinogenic aura of sorts the likes of which distorted my view. The chimes mixed with the view made for a viscerally ethereal, yet beautiful moment for me as I inched my way across the walls of this esoteric-feeling mass, mining out whatever I could as I went…
yes i like this.
probably one of my favorite vanilla barotrauma songs, gives me nostalgia even though I haven't heard it much in-game (that I remember)
Whenever this track comes on, it feels like some kind of deliverance from the horrors of Europa, a kind of reassuring hand on one’s shoulder. It’s the only be time I truly relax when playing the game
I heard this music while gearing up for mining, it felt almost uplifting while putting on my suit and Plasma Cutter. Anyways, stepped outside and it instantly changed into "Desperation" as Spinelings came at our submarine and attacked me.
my favorite
I remember when i was new to the game and was playing with my friends. I was doing some repairings, and this music played in the background, made me fall in love with baro.
It's strange to see that most never hear this while I always hear it at the beginning of my missions and I was looking for this and my friends also don't recall this one, maybe I got a bug? This is the song that is Barotrauma for me, the intense curiosity it makes you feel at the beginning and sense of hope that something will be good or just pure dread like it's the end. I love it and I love that I always hear it even know after hundreds of gameplay hours I never wanna stop hearing it :D thanks for uploading!
Лучшая песня в игре как по мне, очень атмосферная

You know it's going to be a good gaming session if this starts playing.
Its only been a few years but it’s felt like a century
this song reminds me of Metroid Prime music
the music that plays when your in an outpost searching for things you need and dont need
Kinda sounds like the Minecraft Soundtrack at the beginning

this song would always play after the worst moments. when even the clown was helping out with repairs
I couldn't tell you why, but I get Rimworld vibes from this track
After 500h I dont know how I feel when I hear it... Its like: oh shit here we go again; and like: yea, I here again and I already know what I have to do, how I have to do it, and because of what exactly I have to do this.
