Try using chopsticks when you next feed your snakes. If they bite they'll go for the sticks instead of you, and chopsticks can be multiple feet long.

Naw, he's a 0/0. He's a man so he is going to get man flu a couple times a year, he comes with a clan and there is only one of him, cost is high due to not only his housing but his family and feeding costs are going to be somewhere around at least $500.00 per week for he and his clan.

My Wife got a Barons Racer a year and a half ago. It likes to sit and judge us all the time. He doesn't enjoy being handled but his still young so maybe over time he will settle down. He his fun to feed and he likes moving to the highest point he can. I haven't been bitten yet just pooped on. I concur with Clint's rating of this unique snake.

I'd never heard of this snake species before. It's gorgeous. I really like arboreal or semi-arboreal snakes. They are often visible in their enclosure and just seem a lot more interesting overall. I think the taller enclosures look better and it kind of encourages one to put more effort into it. Having a little leeway in environment is nice. Obviously I'd do everything I could to make it the best it could be and probably have logging and monitoring of conditions running because I'm also a tech geek. The laws here are a little fuzzy on rear fanged snakes. There's a fee you have to pay. In theory they fall under the category of venomous but the powers that be at the Dept. of Wildlife leave you alone if that's what you're keeping because they know there's no actual danger. This wouldn't even have the issue of being a native species like the western hognose.

Or you just keep one. Who's gonne come and check if you have one? And if you need a vet they don't ask if you have a permit. I mean damn everyone can have any dog they want while they bite children to death! But a permit for a barons racer is just ridiculous. I don't think here in Belgium we need a permit for it. I wouldn't care either way. Nobody comes checking if I have a kingsnake that I registered yes. But here they don't really care. As long as it's well taken care for and not deathly it's good.

I wish there were more green snakes in the hobby. When I got into reptiles I was a little surprised so few in the hobby are green despite that being the color most associated with them (in my region anyway). When I do see them, many kinds seem to always be WC. Always makes me wonder if they can't be captive bred or if no one thinks it's worth it.

Hey Clint, I watch your videos religiously, even though I’m not purchasing a reptile any time soon. You keep things really pleasant and informative and positive and lighthearted. So I would not blame you for not covering the recent holy Thursday massacre. I’m sure you have heard about it. I saw the entire footage and it made me cry. But you are someone with a real platform and the ability to help reptile breeders avoid this kind of massacre. And your platform goes well beyond those who own reptiles, I love your content, and so do my nieces and nephews and all of their friends. You appeals to a very broad audience, so I would not imagine you covering this when speaking to children. But I still would love your opinion on this may be on your Patreon or something. It was beyond horrific and brutal. What those men did to those snakes, using a tool that should only be used in emergency situations in the wild. The pregnant boa was still moving which means she was still in pain and these officers put her dying body in a corner to avoid telling the owner, sentencing all of her little babies to death. It’s one of the most horrific things I have ever seen, and I will never rewatch it.

She would not bite the hand/arm that was holding her, but she would launch at my face. Anyway, I'd love for you to rate that one as a pet. She was challenging. I want a blue Barron's racer. I've been thinking about getting one for a while. Would love an Asian Vine snake also.
