Monforte d'Alba has with out a doubt the largest vineyards in the Barolo area. In previous episodes we learned about Bussia and Bricco San Pietro and now is the time to expand our Monforte journey even further with the amazing Castelletto cru. This vineyard is not only part of the Barolo history but it is also part of the history of our winery. For years we owned and vinified a parcel of Castelletto, a beautiful and classic Barolo made to be aged in the bottle for very long. Its borders reach Serralunga, while its soil is divided in Tortonian and Serravallian, making it a very authentic and classic expression of the terroir.
