Barnfind Valiant Charger 770 reunited
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This video looks at our barn find VK Valiant Charger 770 in its derelict state - having sat in our shed for the last 23 years. My father purchased it at a bargain price in the early 2000s, so I've known this Charger for most of my adult life.
The first part of this video looks closely at the features and condition of this well optioned coupe in its barn find state. The second part of this video covers the car being reunited with one of its former owners, for which it held significant sentimental value.
Contents:
00:00 - VK Valiant Charger barn find walk around
15:32 - Valiant Charger barn find reunited with its former owner
My original intention was to produce a second video in which we cleaned the car up ready for sale. That plan was abandoned when we were contacted by a former owner who wanted it as it was.
We want good buyers for the cars, and it doesn't get much better than this.
A follow up video will follow, where we will take a look at the car after restoration works are complete.
A huge thanks and congratulations to the purchaser who I'll keep in touch with!

Thanks mate I appreciate your comment :)
What a fantastic video, having the old dear seeing it again at the end was so heart warming.
There was something very authentic about the way that dear woman said “I'll beef hooked”😂 she looks remarkable for a lady in her 80’s. The benefits of a country lifestyle I guess..
Lost family member , re-united , great to hear/see , you have a good heart , & plenty of karma for the other projects , what comes around goes around
Wow what an unreal story so glad it went to the old owner, he must have been absolutely knocked over after searching for it only to find it untouched as they sold it after 23 years ! Thanks for sharing this video.

Owned a Green VK 770 318 in late eighties in Goulburn NSW Also had from Bathurst area a 265 4 speed fish scale dash in a dark silver with the hockey black stripes and the stripes that go over the back of the roof . Also owned one of the last 318 4 speed chargers made . I remember in Tamworth Chrysler the sale man saying this is there last charger 318 with drifter stripes and black pin stripes across the boot lid . It was a creamy white . A bloke up the road from me out of Tamworth traded his blue VJ charger and brought it . 👍🏻. Owned other Chargers but to long a story . Ps always stick to the same size tyres all round and same shocks all round use Cm control arms with cm front sway bar 👍🏻.
Great story…amazing to be reunited after all that time. I wish I could have my CL 318 770 Charger back. I sold it in 1991 in Queanbeyan NSW. Turquoise in colour.

What a great clip, well done. An excellent designed car, what a special vehicle it would have been in Dubbo in 1975. I'm pissed off though, because I bought a '72 ute new, but Beige was the only colour available, I wanted a Blue one with a 318.

Thanks for your comment. Yep the Blue is a great colour, very appropriate for the 70s!
Being a coupe it has flip glass, hardtops have a wind down glass. This car will come up a treat when finished.
Very nice ❤❤❤❤
No one mentions the drains from the rear corners of the trunk lid area. I designed these drains and it has always been an achievement.
The Charger commercials said it all.
New to ur channel .so love that charger .I'm in USA love all chargers.just watch a few of ur vids love them

Great to see it go back home, what an unexpected end ❤ Please move your mike up your clothing to improve audio. You’re doing a great job dealing with all you have to sort through

Nice too see it go home
What's with calling it the hood and the trunk? This is Australia mate! Bonnet and boot.
Fantastic. Love Chryslers owning one myself but don’t you mean SHED FIND not barn find! Fully sik cars

Thanks for your comment. Good point - technically not a barnfind :)..
except ours was cream coloured
I think he means boot, not trunk.

I suppose it's true for some of them... We'll just have to be extra careful driving these old things (but still try to enjoy them)
