Very nice restoration. The one in the anime has a black hood but it looks great anyway. It'd be fun to see all the AE86s compete in a downhill drift challenge and see how it goes. The optics of seeing these cars of the same make, model, and color fight it out in a confusing way.

by far this is the most impressive ae86 work I've seen in a while, the fact you actually managed to get all the 4age parts onto the 4ac and keep all of its amenities is insane to say the least. My sr5 has ac power steering and everything you can ask for with the added benefit of it being automatic and having a gts rear end. I knew this was possible but I'm so impressed with you're commitment and work. Amazing job dude.

4A-C and 4A-GE have the same block - (4A). The difference is in the crankshaft, rods, and pistons. (And flywheel) I didn't include it in this video but i replaced all of these for a 4A-GE later, however the crank I have is a bit damaged and it knocks now... So I am saving money currently to buy a new crankshaft and rebuild that engine once again...

@@NickyChicksI thought all this time that I had to swap out the entire motor for a twin cam. So what you’re saying is I could save myself money and time by just swapping the pistons, crank and head for the 4age parts and it’ll be a 4age??

It's really cool how you made the 4AC accessories work with the 4AGE. How difficult was it? Did you just use the 4AC pulleys or did you swap them all to 4AGE pulleys? I noticed the alternator looks different compared to a stock 4AC alt now.

It wasn't that hard. All the pulleys are from an 4AC. Yes, stock 4AC alternator didn't fit (too bulky), so I just put a 3sfe alternator that was laying around (had to cut the bracket and improvise)

Vin number start with "ae86" (which is its chassis number)
