I literally have JUST finished watching HIMYM, and I feel like someone had taken out my heart and smashed it to pieces. I loved these two, I was over the moon seeing them together. And then in like couple of minutes it was just gone. Barney and Robin are perfect. But you know what, nvm, the ending never happened. :) p.s. This edit is amazing.

not only did that someone take out our hearts and smash them to pieces, they used that stingy superglue to force it back together by putting robin with ted, but that only made our hearts dissolve into a puddle of nothingness

Barney had totally changed himself, just to marry robin....and they divorced them within 7mins of the show...also the character development of barney was so great throughout the show that i could not tolerate the ending.

I rooted for them to end up together ever since season 1. I noticed all the subtle moments, even before they got together. I can't believe that sucky ending concludes a what should have been a great series. Barney went through a lot of stuff to get Robin. So I won't believe that he would let her go just like that, heck even if they got divorced I know that he will always, always, try to win her back.

The screenwriters should be ashame of such ending... Beautiful video, best couple ever.

This was just one of the most beautifully heartbreaking things I have ever seen. You seriously could not have chosen a better song and the way you edited it...GENIUS. Do you have another account out there with a ton of videos and like 5,000 subs? Because you are SO talented. This is one of the best videos about them I have ever seen. It may even be THE best! The voice overs you used fit the lyrics completely, and you totally proved that they were the loves of each other's lives, no matter what idiotic writing they gave us the finale! I think a few years down the road they will do a revival, and like the Will & Grace revival, they will completely ignore the series finale! lol a girl can dream, right? Anyway, this really moved me. I have been avoiding HIMYM vids for the last couple years because it hurts too damn much, but I feel like your video healed a part of me. Your video is comforting to my torn up soul. lol seriously, STUNNING work here! I hope to see more vids from you!

Wow, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much! This is my only account but I definitely plan on making more videos :) I'm just very slow lol. As for the finale, I'm still heartbroken about that shambles of ending. It was so ooc and such a slap in the face to us shippers. I will never understand why they gave them such an amazing build up just to ruin years of development in the final episode. They were a joke to the writers but they were important to a lot of fans, myself included, who saw beauty and hope in their love. I personally am reluctant about a revival because the writers hate B/R and would likely shove T/R down our throats but a revival that undoes the series finale would be a dream come true! Anyway, apologies for my rambling. Thank you again for your comment :)

Wow I just can't believe how amazing you are!! You are going to be one of those vidders with thousands of subs eventually, I'm telling you. Oh I totally agree with you! The creators of this show seem to be whiny guys who related way too much to Ted, and therefore made Robin into a trophy for him and Tracy into nothing more than a baby maker for him. It is really sick. They discarded so many years of character growth and development. They made it like women could only be breeders or cold business women with no friends or love life. All we really got of Lily in the finale was that she popped out kids (more than she wanted of course). We heard nothing of her art or teaching, though we found out Marshall became a judge. Tracey gave Ted the kids Robin wouldn't/couldn't, so she could be killed off. Barney's baby mama didn't even get a name! She was just a freaking number. And then there was Robin. Robin didn't want kids and she actually wanted a career, so you know, she gets to be the bitter woman with no husband, friends, and only dogs to keep her company. Yeah...Ugh IT PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH. I can't believe they acted like Barney needed to be a dad to "change his ways". Umm...how OOC is that? Barney ALREADY grew in so many ways, largely because of ROBIN. and unlike Ted, he had NO issue with her not being able to or wanting to have kids! Grrr.... I clearly had a rant in me too! lol we just can't help it. This show had the worst series finale ever, and that is saying something because I have seen some awful ones in my time! haha anyway, you are most welcome! I love this video soooo much!

I've just finished how i met your mother! And i think the end was disappointing. Barney and Robin have a really strong relationship. Their love , marriage was so perfect! All good stuff and this bad enging. Why this end?! They were really perfect for each other. Barney loved her so much! By the way video is so good! It make me cried.😭💘

I still don't get how they could show a character grow throughout the show and dedicate an entire season to his happy ending and manage f*** it all up in less than 5 minutes.

Screw Ted! Robin was to good for him. She needed someone like Barney, they were so perfect for eachother! Well, the ending is not real, Barney and Robin are ENDGAME NO MATHER WHAT!!!!!❤️

Nah..it's actually Ted who deserved someone better than Robin. He deserved someone who knew she loved him when she saw him. Not the indecisive childish character Robin was who bounced around between Barney and Ted looking for something she already had in not one but both of them and still rejected it. They both deserved better than Robin...she didn't deserve either of them

i hate the ending so much but barney and robin and what they had despite all the odds was beautiful- they're a couple that thought me that no matter how much you love each other, when both of the people in a relationship aren't happy anymore, you have to let go :( and that's reality bc you'll end up hurting each other again until it becomes unhealthy and toxic :( CRYINGGG i miss barney and robin so much

These two this week have suddenly become my comfort ship... :(

They tried to make the point that no matter how hard you want a character to be somebody or you want them to change you have to look at who they really are, they were talking about barney and saying that while we wanted him to change and grow and settle down his entire character is a bachelor that's who he has always been...but it makes it really hard when the only times you see growth in him are when HE is striving to settle down. It's not a goal we projected onto him, he got engaged multiple times he chased his heart and followed though, he tells us he wants kids, and yet he even agrees that Robin is more important than that dream. This isn't a story about a guy who just couldn't grow and we projected our deep-seated wants onto him. That is unfair to him as a character. This is a story about a guy who used women to fulfill a hole he was scared to even admit as there, he is hurt and he found somebody else who was hurt and that's not him changing his character that is him allowing himself to let go of some of that fear and even take on a little bit. He's happy as a bachelor...he's complete with Robin. And I don't like that they spent seasons building up a relationship and having them overcome everything to decide to be together just to take it back in one scene, I understand the deterioration of the relationship. I'm not stupid maybe they wouldn't have worked out. But it is not fair to claim that it was because Barney COULDNT grow up. It was because the writers didn't wat him to.

This is absolutely gorgeous and true to how beautiful their relationship is to so many people. Thank you!

This is so beautiful! And I completely agree with you. These two were one of my ultimate favourite couples for years and I felt so betrayed by the finale. I didn't watch anything about the show since because I just felt so disappointed with how it ended but I came across this by accident and it reminded me how much I loved these two so I'm think I might rewatch the show and just skip the last two episodes. The show as it should have been. 😊 Thank you for reminding me of my love for these two. This is my favourite swarkles video and the editing and everything is amazing!

Despite the ending, I still like to think that eventually Barney and Robin found their way back to each other, maybe when they were much older. Because I still feel like they were meant to be together in the end.

That is a good way to look at it. I think there was still love there. When they were at Tracy and Teds wedding there was still a lot of chemistry between the two so I could totally see them getting back together. I think that Ted and Robin wouldn't make it because he would be too boring for her.

If they had a reunion show, Ted & Robin more than likely will not be together. The writers will see what HUGE mistake they made and put Barney & Robin together. They will ALWAYS have love for each other, even if they are with other people, their love for each other will never go away.

I am currently watching this show for the first time. I was in the beginning of the second season, when I started shipping these two, and when I searched for fanstuff and realized that they actually get together, I was sooooo crazy excited! I googled to find what episode they had their first kiss, and I have watched 6 hours of it today just to be able to watch that episode. And then I just couldn’t wait anymore and I had to watch edits and this was the first one I found, and I’ve spoiled myself a lot but it is sososo worth it. And I’m not even sure I need to watch any other fan edits because this is beautiful and perfect and I am so in love with it! Amazing song, amazing couple, AMAZING editing! I love it.
