Very interesting history on how Barnes got started purchasing his own art, and also his relationship with Glacken. Thank you!!

couldn't agree more!
Very thorough presentation. Thank you
I'm just loving these Barnes Takeouts. I'm learning and loving. Very informative and digestible. Thank you!
Thank you! Great video. I love the colors of the distant crowd and sky. Thanks for explaining his transition to using color.I can't wait to see it in person someday.
Thank you for introducing me to this artist and this work. Vibrant colors indeed!
Your presentation covered a lot of material. It's pouring rain here in upstate NY, so the bright colors of the Race Track made me smile. Enjoying Barnes Takeout very much. Also just to add this note, I really enjoy it when Art Talk shows where the paintings are in the galleries. Very cool. Thank you! Stay Safe.

Nice to see you back tuning in David! Raining in Philly as well!
Glackens is one of my favorites! Thank you for featuring his work.
Thank you for these interesting and informative insights into your beautiful art collection. It's been a highlight of my isolation!
Sharon and I love this series. We have recently visited, err May of last year, and joined. We learned a lot about the collection. We want to learn more. I went to Penn in the 60's and visited the collection or the place a number of times. I feel a connection which you are advancing and enhancing. Please, More photography. As for this, so much more could be learned about the image, the racetrack, Barnes, Glackens, ash can, etc. And I am a self portraitist, and fine art portraitist.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this wonderful example of Glackens frequent subject of Americans “at play”. The colors convey a sense of happy anticipation for the soon to start horse race on a summer day. It appears Glackens may have been influenced by Van Gogh’s use color, especially yellow.
Would it be possible to make a video featuring the 1912 purchases? Would love to see the paintings that laid the foundation for Barnes' collection!
Quite a departure from the Ashcan School!
I’m enjoying Barnes Takeout, thank you. Would it be possible to have a presentation on the metal brackets that appear on the walls around the paintings?
