Barnes hand Circular Rip Saw
This video displays the W. F. Barnes Co. Hand Circular Rip Saw. Manufactured somewhere in the vicinity of 1885 and designed for the small shop that could not afford steam power but wanted production capacity beyond the hand sawyer.
Sorry about the gap between the first and second segments.

Any video of it cutting? How accurate and practical is it? Love human powered machinery!

Very accurate. I put the thinnest kerf modern blade I could find on it. The rollers do a very good job of feeding the stock straight. It has an accurate fence. As for practicality, it beats hand saw ripping by a mile. But I wouldn't want to be ripping 8/4 hard maple boards all day with it. Sorry, no more video. I sold it.
Very cool
You can't operate it by yourself?
