Amazing trip so far Paul and Michelle. Haven't been on the dirt yet Paul, question is, what psi do you run the car tyers at, and do you drop the vans aswell. Cheers Ron.

Hi Ron Thanks Tyre pressures change depending on how bad the roads are & how fast we can travel on them Usually on a stony corrugated road probably 25-30psi front & 30 rear (towing) Van probably 25 psi all round And lower tyre pressure means slower speeds We may go up or down from there depends on how it all rides. We try to have as comfortable feel we can get with the conditions But then sometimes nothing helps 😂 Cheers Paul & Michelle PMK3AUSTRALIA

Hi, Thanks very much for the vid. Great insight for anyone planning a similar trip. We have the same van , how did you deal with dust ingress prevention? Any tips appreciated. Cheers

G'day Glad you enjoyed our video We have sealed our van from underneath & inside where the walls meet the floor. Also all the cable & plumbing entries in the floor When off road we cover the vents We don't have any other form of dust prevention and get no dust in our van This is our third jayco so we learned over the years where the problem areas that need sealing Usually it's around the wheel arches Hope this helps Cheers Paul & Michelle PMK3Australia

@@pmk3australia Thanks Paul and Michelle, just one more question. If sealing the vents off Im guessing we will need to turn the fridge off the 12v setting when traveling ? is that correct ? Cheers Dave

Hi Dave, We still run the fridge on 12v. Most of the time we don't cover the top vent. Seems to work well, we have been doing it that way for years. I did have a concern that it would be a problem covering the lower vent but it doesn't get that hot on 12 v anyway. I'm guessing the top vent is enough for it to work ok. Just make sure to remember to remove the covers before firing the fridge up on mains or gas. We have a label near the fridge controls to remind us.....LOL These are just our experiences, keep an eye on yours to make sure you don't have any issues Hope this helps Cheers Paul & Michelle PMK3AUSTRALIA
