Beautiful Dulcimer! My older sister played & owns several. They are all unique & have their own story to tell. She’s had some strokes & hard for her to play, bit she still tries. God bless her!😇 Hope you have a Blessed week with the coming of our Lord’s birth!😇 🇺🇸💖🎄🤶🏻🎅🏻❤️‼️

Beautiful instrument with a beautiful sound! I was confused about the Bear Tone dulcimer, with several possibilities flashing through my mind. Closed captions revealed Baritone. Is that a regional pronunciation or is it widespread in the US? I remember the time i discovered that the American for mobile was moble. America is putting to confuse my poor elderly brain. :)

Nice Dulci. Would be fun to put lowest strings. On one of my epinettes i got C2 G2 C3 or D2 A2 D3. Its good to have very high and very low cithars and not to play in the same strings and octave level than everybody. Long live the Cithars...

@@KevinTeague Thank you for your reply. I understand the intended tuning. It just sounded a bit out of tune to me. Perhaps that perception derives from playback over this medium. Or perhaps these particular tuners make fine adjustment touchy.

Can a baritone chromatic be tuned DAD or always AEA?

AEA is the standard. DAD would probably break the thicker baritone strings.

@@KevinTeague thank you. I loved your video,it describes my situation almost to a T. I'm also a beginner trying to find my way, so I've wasted money on instruments in search of just the right one. Also trying to teach myself. I think I'm going to need a dulcimer for noter style as I can't manage the chords.

Thank you for replying! Of course I was exaggerating a bit. We don't have them readily available to buy in Australia, with only a handful of makers in the country. We generally don't see 'real' ones in the shops, only the Apple Creek "toy" level ones, and even then they only rarely appear. I know of only one Dulcimer maker in Oz in my state, and he has them available in limited amounts based on what he can make. It's not like in the US where you can just find Dulcimers everywhere. I bought a two Dulcimers while I was in US earlier this year and sending them to Oz cost around $180. @@KevinTeague
