dale until know i think this is your most entertaining video..encounter with the drum man is really enjoyable & watchable for many times.

But apple costs around 140 rs per kg nowadays. Means for an apple 30 rupees is just okay.

One piece of advice is always to stay alert and watch your things just for a safety concern that's it, rest you have handled things very well and yes people will keep following you to try their best to sell their products so when someone does say (Nahi Chaayay ) "I don't want" coz someone of them don't understand English. Yes you have to stick with your price which is in your mind if they say no then move the next person as you did with buying bags. Info for the video which you uploaded was for Majid Bander station if you don't know how to find location what you can do is use Google Maps. Appreciate you mate! You have traveled to the most local place wow impressed.

@Dale, In india, there is an unofficial fee known as 'Hafta (As in week in english)' that you have to pay to the Police/local politician on a weekly basis, irrespective of whether you're a licensed or illegal hawker. The policeman was basically demanding 'hafta' which the hawker refused. So he just took that cloth forcefully as an alternative to Hafta. What you did was correct as getting yourselves involved with the police is as good as getting yourselves thugged. P.s. there are exceptions though.

Ask local people what the real price is for things you may want to buy, then when you come across those vendors just refuse to pay more than that. They won't let you walk away if you're bidding at the real price.

@@SamSam24270 that is just being cautious in uncertain situations. That's why a lot of people opt for tours in groups as opposed to travelling alone. The tour operators take care of the details and people can focus more on enjoying the trip. This goes doubly true in poorer areas where you don't have to focus on your wallet being stolen as much.
