I believe the character design for this game was made by SUEZEN a.k.a Fumio Iida, it looks a lot like the art from "Magical Hoppers" (Japanese version of "Pandemonium!" ) in which he worked on. The artstyle of both is based on his Manga "Yadamon". I think he also did the art for Shining Force II
