Barcelona, on the prime real estate on the coast of the Mediterranean, has long been a destination of choice for travelers. It is also the current home of Mobile World Congress, which had more than 85,000 attendees from over 200 countries attend in 2014 to discuss the future of mobile technology. The city is also known for its award-winning industrial design. In a city of 1.6 million people, over 35% of trips taken by people around the city are walked or biked and not done by car so it still retains a very small town feeling.
