I know it’s problematic for making the names/numbers legible, but I prefer striped shirts when there isn’t a massive blank space on the back

Up until 1997 Celtic only had the numbers on the shorts. Back was just the design. Hoops also now suffer from big blank patches for numbers/names in Europe.

Same. I have the 22/23 real betis home shirt and the stripes abruptly end and start again where there’s supposed to be numbers but it’s just a blank white space.

As a collector of football shirts I was very glad to find your channel! I hope once you'll make a video about tight fitting shirts: Adidas Techfit (2010-13), Puma Actv Fit (2014-18), Puma Evoknit (2018-19) and Kappa Kombat-Skin (2016-18). For me these technologies are just another level comparing to anything else. Thanks a lot for your videos!

I'm not too knowledgeable about older kits, but I think the tight Arsenal puma kits from the 2010s are one of those. What is it about them that makes them on another level? Higher comfort?

I've recently discovered your channel and I absolutely love your content. I've never really thought about football kits in this way before and the details in which you go into it all absolutely fascinates me. And I absolutely agree with you and miss the old Adidas logo and wish they'd bring it back. I remember having a few jumpers back in the late nineties with a big massive one spread across the front. Loved them and wish they'd bring them back

Not a fan of the template Nike have been using for the past couple of seasons and less so when it comes to their striped designs, I much prefer the stripes to go right up to the shoulder ..a great example of a good striped shirt this season would be Porto for me (New Balance I think) very clean and classic design. Ps I love the Milan track top Rob is wearing 😍🔥

As a Juve fan, I really loved last year's home kit & wasn't so keen on this year's home kit. Seeing it more & more, it's growing on me & like the inspiration of the zebra stripes. For me I still prefer last season's home kit but Juve has had interesting kits in the last few seasons. This season's away kit I absolutely adore & think it's the best away kit we've had in years. Not everything sticks (ex. 21/22 third was awful) but I respect trying something different 🤍🖤

Hi both, loved the video. My idea for the Barcelona kit would be an old school design with a lace collars, the stripes with the years ithe Nou Camp was built and demolished in the material with the blue sleeve effect. My favourite Juventus shirt was the one worn by Alessandro del piero in the 1996-97 season.

loving this channel since I discovered it last week! One era and corner of kit design I've always been fascinated by is the dodgy away kits that were aplenty in the premier league during the 90's. Great era for shirts in general, but some dodgy away ones! Maybe an episode on that at some stage? Looking forward to what is coming next!

Would love to see you review more striped shirts? I found it odd that Craig liked this Juve kit when he disliked the Bournemouth kit from last season. I assume Nike didn't use full blue sleeves for this kit because then it would be almost identical to the 2016-17 shirt

Please do a video on authentic vs fan edition shirts! I wear football tops almost daily, rotating through 10/15 of them, and whilst the authentic shirts have better fabrics and technology, I feel they're designed to be worn for one match, so if a fan is to buy one to wear often, the value isn't there because it might not last, so for a fan is it worth spending almost double in some cases for the authentic? Cheers guys, keep up the great work it's fascinating

Personally, I’m a fan of wider stripes and single color back panels. I think the wider stripes give the other elements on the shirt more breathing room and the single color back panel helps a great deal with name and number legibility.

Adidas for Newcastle 95-97 (Asprilla era) managed to use white numbers on the back without leaving a blank space. I think they're better than the red they have now. The follow up shirt 97-99 had a disgusting giant empty shield on the back. Please please Craig get a contract to design the new Toon adidas kit. and redesign the logo while you're at it. The lion's face is way too small to be seen.. we need a new 21st century take.
