Creatable World clothes fits amazing on Petites. Cannot be happier about it, as I'm a big fan of the quality of the Creatable World fashion.

You always do the best makeovers! 😍 A tip for hair straightening: even on the lowest setting, the hair cand burn (unfortunately, it happened to me). To stay safe, put it on the lowest setting (mine is 150), and then after it has reached the temperature, I turn it off and let it cool just a little bit. Test it on a strand of hair somewhere in between , where the hair is not that visible. If you sense even just a bit of sticking, stop the process and let it cool for another minute. You may need to repeat this a couple of times in order to do the whole hair, as it will get cold while straightening. But this is how I do it and it's worked very well so far! 😊

Fashionistas, when introduced, were on a Made to Move body with higher quality. But Mattel is keeping the Looks line on an adult level (for photography), knowing it's not a style segment aimed at children (i.e. no Color Reveal, bright colors etc.) whereas they can crank out the Fashionistas of today for cheap because they have little quality clothing and sometimes questionable hair.

hair tip, If you do a boil perm/wash in a pot of boiling water rather than a glass it will completely straighten it. You just dip & then comb it flat while it still hot. You have to do it pretty quick, but be careful not to burn yourself. its easier and safer than using the flat iron.

I picked up a set of Createable World dolls when they first came out, but they are put away in the closet. I’ll have to pull them out! I’m just a grandmother who has always loved dolls, and in recent months I’ve purchased a couple Barbie Looks dolls (also BMR1959), but not petite ones, yet. You’ve given me some ideas, thank you. 🤗

I have been contemplating restyling her hair and seeing that rooted middle part has convinced me. 😍 She really is SO CUTE!

I've already ordered mine and she's on the way. I can't wait to get her. In my opinion, she's the prettiest in this collection. I had no idea how her hair was rooted. I loved to know that it's parted in the middle. Also, I love how long her amazing hair is. I'm still wondering whether I'll restyle her hair, though. To me it looks nice the way it is. But I have to confess I loved the way she turned out after you boilwashed and restyled yours. She looks fantastic 😍!!! You did a great job. Here in Brazil, these dolls cost about 350 reals, which is equivalent to 63 dollars in the US. You see, they're too expensive for us. That's what makes me hesitant to change her as I'm not as skilful as you are. Anyway, I might give it a shot. She looks even prettier with her hair loose and straightened out.

Know the feeling I really wanted them. But in the UK is sooooo difficult to get them they are only now showing up on Amazon. The prices were a shock also. I actually got the blond ken undressed shipped from the US.

UK doll collecting is😦😢😢 I recently managed to get 3 of the wave 1 looks dolls about £26 each. I ordered the curvy one but she is coming from Europe.

This doll is gorgeous, I love her factory hair but straightened looks so good!! Great fun looks on her, she is a good girl for pastels!!! 💜💜

She turned out so beautiful! I love those purple hues in the mahogany red.

She looks great! Loved this makeover. I agree with you about the Fashionistas. I really think THESE should be the Fashionistas. If they can produce dolls of this quality for $20, then make the Fashionistas slightly better quality and charge a few dollars more. (Over here, you can get the Fashionistas for $7.99. Make them better, charge $12.99. Call it a day. 🤣) Anyway, wasn't considering this doll because I'm not a fan of the petites, but now I see the potential!

They’re meant for children who’ll get bored of them and trash them after a week. Also remember that they’re more convenient for the parents to purchase

The biggest surprise in restyling this doll is that she has a part. I'm leery about buying dolls with their hair up like this and generally they don't have a part and it creates styling nightmares for me if I want to wear their hair straight. But she's good and I love her.

I liked the first outfit best, but they are all great. I have this doll and she is awesome. The face AND the hair on one doll made me say “wow”! Here in Canada, the Looks are $35-40, with some marked down to $30. That is about double the price of a Fashionista on Amazon, although if Walmart stocks them, they are $10. So, in dollar amounts, it’s not much, but it is still double or triple. I think it is worth it, though, especially since made-to-move dolls are $25 here.

I've been buying the looks dolls when they go on sale for $29 on Amazon, pretty much the best deal we can get up here!

She's cute, especially after the makeover! Petite dolls can fit some Rainbow High clothes too. I got a few Creatable World dolls when they went on sale just for their outfits.

I love her...waiting for her to arrive on my doorstep! I ordered a handmade petite gown for her!🤗

I completely agree with you about the prices. The Looks dolls are a great deal for the quality, especially compared to the fashionistas. I'd rather see more high-quality dolls and pay a little more for them. I LOVE the makeover you did. Her hair looks incredible plus the outfits are super cute! Very impressive :)

I did this with the tall long haired looks doll and melted her hair and of course I started on the side of her head. Are they not the same hair? Or more likely I did something really wrong. Love what you did with her hair, I'm reticent to try again.

Yikes! 🤔 hm, you do have heat settings right? because otherwise it will melt if the iron is too hot. Also I will drop a video later today on the Barbie Looks redhead with another guide that doesn’t involve a straightening iron

Feel like we low-key need flatirons specifically for doll hair because not a single heated tool that I own has a low enough temperature setting for doll hair unless it is nylon 😅

A tip for you... I think you have to make she use the rainbow righ closes she can use all because she's perfect size. So forget Barbie closes and use the best doll close's ever , rainbow righ. Use only shoes for Barbie and accessories.

Fashionistas are not made to move but she and the rest of the Looks Dolls are so I can see why these is a difference of 12 dollars in price. I think we are lucky to get these as cheap as we do. Also, I am not a Mattel apologist as I got the first Petite in this collection and her leg snapped off on me. =-( I think Mattel is really competing with MGA here. Which is why we are getting as much quality as we are with the Looks Dolls. Just my 2 cents.

I sometimes let my dolls sit and pour boiled water on their head so their hair goes flat against their heads and leave them to dry… sounds gruesome 😆 but gives a nice effect.

how would it look without the flat iron?

I have her in or in the listing is said to her hair can be flat ironed and I also when I was taking her out the bus is very hard to take her out because when I took out the box I had to take my scissors and cut it but in the back of her head that thing was stuck her head so I had to cut it and it kind of like sniffing little bit on her hair off and also and I was trying to flat iron her hair I only put a little piece in there to see her head before iron and I almost burnt the heck out of her head so I also think that the computer warning right there where you buy it to say not too far iron it

By the way, I love that Barbie Looks line and I am dying to receive number 8 because her hair is just like mine. Just be careful if you decide to wash her hair, because I heard that the flocking may come out.

If you need to fix the lips. You take 100% pure acetone takes Q-tip remove the factory paint off the lips pick your favorite color nail polish with a toothpick and repaint those lips back on. Super simple

I need to work 3-4h to buy fashionista and 2-3 days to buy barbie looks 😅
