barbershop except i sing in 2 keys

I came across this cover the other day: • Lover Come Back (Newfa... and was blown away, so decided to make my own ridiculously high version, and with a few more notes of course.
The original iconic tag was made by Ed Waesche.

My brother saw me watching this and said "What are you looking at, mugshots? Oh, it's the harmony lady"

at 1:36 i was so shocked I fell backwards, hitting my head on my tile flooring. I spent 9 years in hospital in a coma. I came back to write this comment only to hear the chord again and collapse, cracking open my skull one more time finally killing me. Cool chord
I keep expecting one of the heads to explode at the end

So look I mmmaaaannnnyyyyy overtones.... It hurts my ears, and my traditional sense of music (I'm a classical musician that sings Bari in barbershop), but is so friggin cool

ahah, noooo!!! But a suspect arises: that whichever crazy combination of notes you sing, they look always at least pretty good 🙂
I love when a video like this comes along and I get the crunchy chord face
Yes! This is the channel that isn't afraid of crunch. That's a "subscribe" for you! 1:56 raised me to heaven.
This is the coolest thing. I got more and more excited as it stepped to the next level. Hair standing on end by the finish, almost.
the queen of barbershop has arrived!
Holy hell you're good
the last one finished and i said, "nice, dude."
after watching this video and ascending for the 50th time, i now have permanent crunchy chord face
I’m crying. This. Is. My. Year.

A beautiful demonstration of dissonance. That was amazing, thank you!!
This is like those [video] get played 1 time, 2 times, 4 times, 8 times, 16 times, etc etc 1024, 2048, etc 65536 times videos The voice parts just keep coming in!!!!😍😍😍😍
doing a relisten of your works so far
Your harmonies are so strongly sung that you're getting harmonics to make even MORE harmonies!! Witch! Witch! (Keep going!!) ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful as usual. I am still trying to figure out how any normal human has the baritone low B and the 1st Sop. double-high D#. It just ain't right...

Lol. I would hope not, but always possible on the internet. I have met singers with this much range tho. It IS possible, if very rare...

thank you kindly! I sing the low B in the mornings, and squeal the high D# when my voice is warmed up! 🤣
Congratulations, your music ripped a hole in time, traveled backwards sixty-some years, and became the tormenting musical voices in Brian Wilson's head.
these videos are awesome. cheers.
Another home run! Lover really needs to hurry back!
#3 for sure
amazing, as always
Crunchy.
This is awesome!
Great!! Tags sung a 5th apart are awesome! 😍😍
You killed this
beautiful chords
That was awesome! 😎
Amazing, thanks for that
Damn that's good. Why wasn't I subscribed earlier to your critcally underrated channel? All the best!
Congrats, you just became Jacob Collier

brilliant
The chords on the first and third fermatas are heavenly 😊
Hello Lux My Aurumque Baby
holy shit dude
How far down does your range go? I could hear the B2 quite well.
Deep sigh! Who ARE you? (More deep sigh)
Last one sounds like Earth Song until you went crazy
❤❤❤❤!
Your staves are in the wrong order.
Can you really sing B2? You’re awesome.
Subscribed. Love this stuff! How long can you hold a single note? Seems like it's quite a long time here...
What are you using to record for this video? Just your iPhone ? Are you recoding through a DI into a program ?
So did the lover come back or flee after hearing this? (All jokes aside, this sounded great!)
It probably would be easier on your voice if you looked into how to reach and strengthen your head voice. Lead gets full voice, but Tenor can sing in head voice, and of course, anything soprano is head voice.

Thanks for your comment; I tried to get it all in chest for better blend and impact, but can see why you said this! It was a fun challenge trying to get those notes in chest 🤣

@spratt IN that case, I'd look into how you can add bits of head voice while it still sounds like a belt. I believe New York Vocal Coaching has a video on that. in their videos on belting. I just noticed a lot of strain on those highest notes, and adding in some head would free it up a bit. But I of all people know this is easier said than done. At least you have good access to your head voice.
Are the last three measures of the tag done all in chest voice?
Not Eric Whitacre; more like Jacob Collier!
Hello Sophie. Your 8 videos are breathtaking and really great. Bravo, and all the best. Occasionally, I'd love to hear your opinion of my playlist “Avec chœur”. You'll see the cursor scroll over the score. Pleasant discovery. JM.
Would not be suprised if you used something like Melodyne or a different pitch correction software. Do you?
Do you actually have that low note??? Damn!!!

Nice job! What I don't like is that you obviously electronically corrected your pitch. That is cheating because you sound more "awesome" than you actually are, sorry.
