A short evening session on the river Severn at Atcham. Fishing an 60g open ended feeder to 12lb main line, 0.19 hook length with a 12 hook and a direct banded 6mm spicy sausage pellet. After the first hour with only a 8oz roach having a nibble, the left hand downstream rod wrapped round and a 5lb barbel was in the net. Half an hour later the downstream rod wrapped around again, another beautiful barbel in the net, 6lb 14oz. Unfortunately, my camera battery died and was unable to film the capture of the best, 8lb 11oz, but I did get a picture on my phone. What a great evening fishing.
