A tribute to the best actress to ever grace the screen; Barbara Stanwyck. Her birthday was July 16th but I was unable to make a video for her then so feel free to view this as a delayed birthday tribute if you wish.

This woman was never given her due, while she lived! She is a most unique individual in many, many ways... her ability to pull from herself whatever she needed, in the moment she needed it for any performance, is unbelievable! I don't believe there is another who so consistently "gave their best" with every effort she a part of is legend! She is a legend herself! There is a quality in her performances that elicits feelings that no other actress could get near! As a human being, she lived her life on her own terms, which is wonderful, because that life was extremely difficult, and full of so many trials. I think more of her than any other actress, and many that don't act... She worked from the inside, and spent lots of time inside her self all through her life, learning about herself and in the process accomplishing much which would serve her well... She is a most amazing woman with much character. And in my book, she is the greatest actress in motion picture history! - And a great, great person in the entirety of her life and how she lived it!

really a beautiful tribute to Missy. She was a really great actress, and all films, i'd seen with her until now are so good. There so many favorite films of mine with Missy. I can't belive: I watched the first film, starring Missy only a few month ago. And her voice is a unique one. Alas here (germany)in TV is no/seldom chance for original. 99,9% films are synchronized :-( thanks for this tribute

Manu Cameiro da Cunha I'm guessing the clip with the little girl, following "Lady of Burlesque" (Missy with the curtain) is "Stella Dallas" (1937)
