    Such a gift of talent. Barbara deserves the absolute best organ in the world at her home. She is truly the most talented organist I have ever watched in her styles of music. I wish I could see her play in person. Your gifted talents are such an inspiration to me and I'm sure to any other organists and musicians worldwide. God Bless and thank you for the interviews. :-)

    This is amazing, and having visited the Allen studios in Pennsylvania, they have mastered the sampling of specific organs, but the flexibility of Ms.Dennerlein's console is amazing. BTW, her English is grand. The names of the stops are actually multi linguistic. Thank you hans1970!

    Just saw her tonight at Gethsemane Church in Heuchelhof Germany on their new Johannes digital organ. As always she was fantastic, and really sweet with the audience. An incredibly talented young lady-- and I like the new red head look!

    Hi, Barbara! "Swell pedal" is the word in English. Also, In an organ, "Swell" (German: "Schwellwerk;" French: "Récit") refers to the division whose pipes are enclosed in a swell box. This box has a large opening covered with moveable shades or shutters which resemble heavy venetian blinds, but are vertical rather than horizontal. So, I think "shutters" is the second word you were referring to. Cheers, Bob

    Thanks for this video. This organ reminds me of the history about the reconstruction of a organ near the word trade center towers that has been damaged in 9/11. They cannot repair the organ it self and put a bunch of computers (for security if one fail during a presentation) with samples recorded from many organs around the world.

    Hunt around.... you're making quite a generalization and I'm not convinced it's accurate. There are no "rules" when uploading to KZread, so the variety of possible presentations are evident as a result.

    Well, she can play the hell out of any organ. She is a friendly person, even a bit shy. But I would not call her sexy at all. I've seen her performing since she was 17, and she is still this shy little girl who only wants to make music...now that she is close to her 50th birthday. "Ju li" nailed it...

    Oh, the technical delay from key to pipe is not the greatest cause. It's more the sonic running time, when the console is far away from the pipes. Think about really big rooms like cologne cathedral playing the straight nave organ from the main console. Or the tubas. I think, you have only to play these things without getting a feedback from what you hear.

  • @HammondDirk

    @HammondDirk

    There are many organs, especially those with pneumatic action, which have huge delays, even if the console is directly next to the pipes... I played on small organs with huge delays... But I heard Barbara once playing on a pneumatic organ, and loads of times on electro-pneumatic ones, she masters it with no problem ;-)

    zuviel Computer zuwenig Echtheit, da fehlt das unvollkommene wie bei ner alten Schellackplatte oder den ersten Vinylplatten. Meine 80-jährige Nchbarin hat eine alte Wurlitzer aus Holz aus den 1960ern. Klingt viel wärmer

  • @WoodymC
