I spent 13 years of my life growing up in Bim (originally from Canada) and as much as it was bloody gorgeous, I just had to get out of there. Perfect for vacationing, I will admit, but it is quite another place to live. After 13 years you feel like you're trapped on a rock.

Yes.. My name is tyler.. i went to barbados for 3 weeks.. we did something everday and you never got bored.. we did not stay on a resort, we rented a house and well it was worth it, we went to mullins beach every day and i am telling you that when they say barbaods has pawers, its is 100 percent true! it was my favorate vacation in my life. I think what the ad is trying to say, isn't that there isn't some outside touches to the country, but that it's not overrun. There isn't a KFC on every corner. That when you see it, it's still an exotic island rather than the same old, same old, you just left. It's still pure enough that even a McDonald's couldn't succeed there. It's still distinctly Barbadian.

I live in Barbados at OceanCity which is about 2 Kilometres from the Crane Hotel. During the raining season we had about 5 dengue cases. Dengue is not that easily caught neither is it contagious.Guyana and Trinidad because of there rivers had high incidence of dengue. Air and Cruise travel facilitates the spreading of disease I caught chickenpox while on a trip to New York. Do come and enjoy yourself!

My Paradise Island Home... I wouldnt live anywhere else... No poisonous snakes, No dangerous wild animals, Not much crime Very few beggars, very few hasslers Very few truly homeless You can get to any part of the island in 1 hour max All the roads are passable telephone/ cell phones/ internet available everywhere if needed A mixture of town and country, town and beach, etc Friendly people that are approachable but will leave you alone if that is your wish All beaches are open to the public

I lived in Barbados one winter and it was a truly incredible and unique experience. It has its dark side, though, but that is perhaps what makes it so interesting. You need to be careful there, watch what you do and where you go, but on the whole, people are friendly and the sights are interesting. I interacted with both black and white communities while I was there and the social divide is crazy. It's kind of sad, actually, but still an interesting place to explore and learn about.

That's not what he's saying. Commercialized and Supersized in that instance refers to the way it looks, not the way it's advertised. He's saying you won't go down there and find sky scrapers (as they showed) or that it won't look like so many countries which have corporated so much foreign influences that it looks more like the place you left (America etc) than a tropical island.

If people are suspected of certain kinds of behavior, youll have to be skeptical of those people! You try to ensure that your standards are compromised by deviants. I went to school in Jca, and I was always excessively searched in Bdos. Yea I was inconvenienced, but I understood the greater good. Just last week, a JCAN was arrested for drugs in his luggage. Youll in convenience a many, but still catch some.

I always thought that after elections you wouldnt see anymore DLp or Blp (government parties in Barbados) flyers or other reminders of the paties but I was wrong in that island if ur wearing the opposing colour your scolded

@adams8pjoy I liked your comment, but Barbados is not considered a developing nation. It is developed having the 3rd highest HDI in the Western hemisphere behind the United States and before Chile.
