They are all same migrated from india into Burma(Myanmar), Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, also Southern China like Yunnan and some Southern Vietnam. Many foreigners accused Cambodian people for steal Thai traditional clothes and music, because many foreigners don’t know Thai and Khmer are family. They add layers depend on weather. Tribes as Native people in Cambodia are Chinese and their natives dress are different and they still dress today. Same as in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar.

It’s not my things to argument, but I would be very happy they all take their traditional of clothes like kami and return back to india where islamic radical is. they can retake their territory from Islamic radical in india and pakistan than to boast about their pride and fight in territories of tribes in Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I like tribes clothes best fit in Southern Asia’s weather, because they are simply made by cotton and comfortable in mud and rain when they work in rice fields without worry about dirty. I like all people in Southern Asia, it doesn’t matter if they are Siamese from Yunnan or not. You can see people’s today they wear simply clothes everyday in Southern Asia.

They copy Thai traditional dresses since 2018. This Thai traditional dress called "Thai Chakkri". Queen Sirikit design it since year 1960. We have a tons of evidence to show that this dress is the Thai dress. As a Thai people, we have our great culture and we invented and crafts this culture by our ancestors. Lmfao, this happens when Cambodia was born from Thailand. If French didnt come, Cambodia wouldnt exist. During Rattanakosin era, there was no Cambodia and the whole today Cambodia was part of Thailand. Its not just the dresses. Many things in Cambodia today is a result of Thai influences from Rattanakosin era. Even their Cambodian royal palace was modeled after Grand Thai palace, and not modeled after Angkor wat, which is Indian Cholas architecture and thats 800 years ago. Anyways, Cambodian people can claim Thai dress and promote it. This is why Thailand welcomes over 40 millions tourists yearly, while Cambodia welcomes around 3 millions tourists. When two countries offer the same things and experiences, people tend to go to the one with better qualities and craftsmanship. Point is, the OP looks very gorgeous and beautiful. She being a foreigner should just ignore all these Thai and Cambodian people bickering at each other and just appreciate Thailand and Cambodian and our shared culture/dress or whatsoever. Remember the Khmer lakhon Khol MASK? Cambodia and Thailand competed at the UNESCO and Thailand LOST. Khun Khmer and mauy Thai completed at the UNESCO and mauy Thai LOST in 2022. Your government didn’t tell you about this one. Now Cambodia and Thailand are thinking about competing with this dress at the UNESCO. I can’t wait 😛

You need to fix the title! This is Thai/Siamese dress 10:10. It does NOT related to Khmer culture at all. Majority Khmer people live in Cambodia. Cambodian clothing stores import Thai dresses from Thailand for their tourist attraction because Thai soft power is popular among its neighbors such as Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. They can NOT claim Thai dresses.

This is so ignorant, You did not mention cambodia existed over 1,000 year before thailand did. Funan, chenla and khmer empire is today part of cambodia , thai and veitnam. every empire has its down fall. Khmer traditional dress was derived from khmer empire in which Thailand not even existed yet. Proof are still shown in ancient temple today. It’s sad because your history may teach different thing 😂.

If you wear Kimono(Japan) at Korea shop in Korea. You should know it is Japanese traditional dress, isn't Korean traditional dress Khmer traditional dress isn't that style. You can see from Cambodia government avoid their people to don't wear Thai traditional dress in Ankor wat. But their people still do as it famous from Thai movies.

It's hard for foreigner to know the different for some style dress. But you can see announced about their government avoid their people about confusing.

But you can't find dresses like this over 100 years old in Cambodia. they are claiming It disappeared because of the war. It's a very stupid claim. Japan had wars, China and Korea had wars, but their national costumes have always been there. In this world there would be only Cambodia. in national costume Disappeared because of the war

You can ask them to see old photo of them, that dress isn't them. It 's different. I think they watching Thai TV, movies, advertising,... and now looks they are just confusing from their dress style. 😢

Their government used to avoid them about that they are Thai traditional dress but looks still popular at there. Wearing Thai traditional dress is no problem, I am happy to see beautiful woman. But they should that isn't their culture. For example if you wearing Kimono of Japan in Korea shop, you should know that isn't Korean traditional style. It's hard for foreigner to know the different for some style dress. But you can see announced about their government avoid their people about confusing.

I remember when i was a kid the khmer didnt wear like thai, i even have a khmer friend who show me her traditional dress they called it sampot or something but now they completely forgot their own dress and wear like thai traditional dress and even said it their own traditional dress 🙂
