Идея хорошая. Отчего бы не сделать на подвижных частях боковины не из профиля, а из толстого листа ? К примеру, 4-5 мм хватило бы и компактнее. Для себя подумал, что можно неподвижный тыльник сделать сьемным. Тогда струбцина подойдет для использования на разжим .

You have to try some "Resin Fiber Disks" for your grinder.. You would love them,,, especially if you like flap disks.. They last much, much longer and you can buy them in various grits.. I prefer them of any other type of grinding disk/pad, etc.. You need a backing pad and the resin fiber disks.. No adhesive, no velcro, just pinched with the cone head washer like a regular disk, but made for the backing pad for the Resin Fiber Disks.. Buy good quality disks.. Harbor Freight is fine to wet your taste buds, but, a good quality disk lasts much, much longer.. And, you don't have to buy 3M,, just better than HF..

very clever and super strong clamps! Why did you tap and bolt on the lower clamp portion (the washers welded together) as opposed to welding in place? was there an advantage to the drilling and tapping?

Better late than never. That's because welding may not result in a flat contact between the washers and the workpiece which may, therefore, dent or damage the workpiece if clamping too hard.

only chance i wouldve made would be ordinary hex head bolt on the tensioner, so you could easily use a spanner to tighen them up if you didnt have the drill to hand

The most challenging part is welding and grinding in shorts.......

You gotta love the shower of sparks on the bare legs.

Pretty bad ass, but I feel like it could have been simpler

@@by_talik М12. Может быть, у гайки барашка слишком мало виткой резьбы, а значит на них сконцентрирована большая нагрузка. В струбцинах я использовал высокие гайки - нагрузка в них распределяется

Не понял как круглые губки крутятся свободно?

I think that someone who don't has in his metall-wood- workshop an arc-welder, grinder, drill pres, chop saw etc, will never need to buy bar clamps. What for? (sorry for my english)

Okay not trying to be a nay sayer but if it involves welding is that still considered DIY? Seems more like a fabrication project than a diy project

gute Ausführung bzw. Umsetzung, jedoch Fexen und Schweißen in einer Holzwerkstatt geht überhaupt nicht, in Amerika sicherlich, jedoch nicht in Deutschland! Ein jeder Schreinermeister würde da Amok laufen wenn er so etwas in seiner Werkstatt sehen würde!!!!
