It’s hard to watch this and not cry seeing Sis McGruder dancing

Been around Pentecost since 70s! Did the monthly fellowship meetings,yearly youth Conventions in Bakersfield California,what I don't get here are the Fancy Stage lights? It's like Upper Crust Pentecostals, If Jesus walked in,He would tear them all down! He Turned tables over! And I do love the McGruders,still listen to them on KZread they are authentic!

Who cares what the women wear or don't in this video! They are rejoicing and that's the point folks. I lived with the Bectons, Urshans and Wallaces through college...all UPC royalty. Wanna know a secret? They all knew I was gay and showed me love with no judgement...which I will cherish from these phenomenal people. Shame on anyone who judges them.

This group is FILLED with some of the kindest, dearest people who have ever walked the surface of this world. There is nothing wrong with the way ANY of them are dressed, in this video. In fact, they appear traditional and elegant. I love this production!

Lyn I was raised Pentecostal. I am gay and haven't been to church in years. I still love Pentecostal worship. I'd love to talk sometime. I love this song and seeing Sister McGruder dancing blesses me. I know she is dancing on the streets of glory.

my name is Matthew , I was raised apolostaic penteacostal. I was a young man when , I was bapatized and I received the holy ghost. I've been in and outve church for years , but their is something pulling me back in and that is no one else but God. I stumble every day , but yet I keep getting up and going thru my day. in the last days God will call all of his fallen children home. I think that time is very near. I feel it every day . my son Matt jr, told me today that he was atheist and told me to prove to him that God was real .. I told him to look at himself in the mirror and he would see God . please some one pray for myself and for my 2 beautiful kids , Matt Jr And Chloe Montgomery . God bless

Matthew, Even if you fail often, it's very important to raise your kids in church! You just haul yourself out of bed and off to work every day, don't you? Why? Because you know the payoff is worth it. Isn't the payoff far greater, for going to church, and getting deep into the things of God? You can't live right, unless you give up riding the fence. One foot in, and one out... it's like going on a diet occasionally, but not being willing to give up the habits that make us overweight in the first place. Someone who knows to do right, but doesn't, will produce atheist kids. Can't help it. It's a millstone around your own neck, if you lead a kid down the wrong path, by your own example. The only chance you have for your kid to make it to heaven, is for YOU to get on the straight and narrow, ASAP.

I went to a pentecostal church haven't been back for awhile and not sure if I will be going back, I have experienced the baptism of the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name but I have been absolutely miserable when I went most of the time , God delivered my husband and I from smoking and alcohol but my husband went back and became an alcoholic by night drinks every single night thats a little reason why I stopped going to the church it wasnt getting better it just got worse my mom,aunt and grandma both died in a horrible car accident and left my stepdad almost paralyzed yet he was the only Survivor and many more have died and my children just got sick almost died as well and I do believe it was the mercys of God that healed them but the chruch also has some devils in them and God did say that there will be some amongst them ones that creep in in unawareness so I have been staying away and it actually has calmed down in life thank the Lord God

If the presence of devils is enough to make you stay away from church, then it would have been enough to make you stay away from following Jesus, too. There were always devils in those crowds around Him! When you follow Jesus, the devil will do everything he can, to try to get you away from Him. If you back off from following Him closely, when the devil puts the pressure on you, guess what he'll do every time you think of going to church? If the devil's fighting you, it means you're still alive in the battle. If he has let up, guess what? It means he's got what he wanted. The only way to win this war, is to get in the Word, and learn to use it like a Sword against the Devil, every single time. NEVER GIVE UP. It's a life and death matter. Heaven or hell, for eternity.The stakes could not be any higher.

My dad was part of this project. He was in the one men’s quartet. I can’t wait for the UPC to do something like this again.

I don't see homely women in this video. I see women who understand they are Fearfully and Wonderfully made, and they don't need make to be beautiful, God made them Beautiful:)

@TheSusiewashere I missed out on many of God's blessings and wondered in sin, because of some manmade doctrine that was preached at me. I thought God was a god of vengence and that I was never worthy to have his love. Jesus loves me and his Holy Ghost teaches and corrects me if I do something that grieves him.

TK, Jesus Only is a misnomer. Oneness believers don't deny the Father and Holy Ghost. We simply believe as the Jews always have and still do,,,that God is one and not three separate people.

Matt Higdon my fellow brother. 1 john chapter 5:7 says for there are 3 who give testimony in heaven. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. And those 3 are 1. And for you to give testimony you have to be a living being. Yes. God is 1 God and not 3 Separate gods. But God is like water. In 3 forms. Gas, liquid and solid. And each of those have a different function but are the same thing. Water For it was the Son of God who gave his life, not the Father. For even the Father spoke to Moses saying. Man shall not see me and life but Jesus said he who has seen me has seen the Father for the I am in the Father and the Father is in me

I am an 18 year old male from the Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ. I grew up with the knowledge that a women wearing pants was not sin but that wearing skirt/dress was reverence unto God. Also, women that wear makeup clearly are stating that they aren't happy with the way God made them!! All women are gorgeous with out the need of material items or paint used for vanity, because they are a creation of God.

@JOSEPHINSF I think you have got it backwards: Apostolics say that if a lady wears JEANS she will go to hell, so perhaps Apostolics are the ones who need to "stop all the hate." You do not decide who gets into heaven, OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST DOES, so stop judging others and just worship Him. JMHO

@lucy9359 Most Pentacostal churches DO have a dress code, or "standards," or whatever one chooses to call it. Women are not supposed to wear jeans, not supposed to wear make-up, or cut their hair.

IT is really something how many of these singers have left the UPCI. Tammy Trout and Jonathan Moore have both turned their backs on Holiness. It just makes you wonder sometimes ...............What is real.

Holiness is biblical. But Jesus-Onlyism is not. Common sense while reading the Scripture will tell you that.

Brother, just because someone has left the upc, aljc or any other church doesn't mean they are back slidden or turn their back on holiness or God. I was upc for 35 plus years and I attend a Methodist church called Acts 2 Methodist. Exact same doctrine but without the dress code. Please do not judge anyone without knowing the facts. God gives us wisdom and though we do not dress we once use to doesn't mean we aren't Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost. As far as standards, I know upci churches who look like Baptist and nothing wrong with it. Their still preaching Jesus, loving people and winning souls for the kingdom.

"Standards" -= "religion," Jesus came in love He did not come with a rule book of standards, so calm down and quit pointing the finger @ everyone who does not believe the exact same way you do.. If "standards" save us, there was no need for Jesus to come and die on the cross. Open your eyes to the incredible love and grace our Savior has provided.

@UHC4LYFE - Thank you. Finally, someone who has studied this erroneous doctrine that divides the body of Christ today. This is traditions of men, and it keeps people out of the kingdom of God. People are so preocuppied with the outer appearance, and forget about holiness of the heart. I grew up in this type of rigid, legalistic doctrine. For years I thought I couldn't be a child of God because I couldn't dress as "the church" mandated.

I think its funny how you feel girls need to change their appearance to be beautiful, It's just that Apostolic Ladies know that they are wonderfully made and beautiful just they way Jesus made them!

@myGodis1lord And I will not apologize for what I believe, either. I don't need to be educated on the issue as I have heard it all many times. The fact of the matter is, that we are to love one another, instead of judging everyone. I wear make-up and I will continue to wear make-up, because I want to take care of myself. If YOU interpret that as "prideful and vain," well there is such a thing as projection.......just sayin'.

your dictionary and find the word "pants," it will tell you that the word is an abbreviation of the word "PANTALOOMS," and pantalooms were innovated/invented 500yrs. ago, and this scripture was written over 4,000yrs ago. And if you go back and look/research this era you won't see men or women wearing pants even upto Jesus' time because there were NO PANTS! This scripture really had to do with some of the outlying nations around Israel that had similar problems that we have today "CROSS DRESSERS"

God didnt want Israel to be and look like these other nations. The Hebrew Israelites were HIS chosen people. i must respectfully disagree. i know literally hundreds of women who wear makeup and are not prostitutes. where in the bible does it say that wearing a modest amount of makeup is a sin? as long as the makeup doesn't become an idol to a woman, what is wrong with wearing it?

I believe in being conservative, but why believe in wearing dresses,not wearing makeup, but yet believe in Easter egg hunting, putting up Christmas trees and celebrating Valentine's day? Isn't that paganism?

emily, those who put up a Christmas tree are not worshiping it. No more than you are worshiping Saturn, when you say, "Saturday." Same with hunting Easter eggs. We do not worship other gods. It's just a little game, with no paganism in it in the modern form. In fact, if you look at why Protestant churches have preaching at 11 a.m. on Sundays... the origins of that are enough to make you stop... if the origin of a practice make it wrong. Curious? Martin Luther had a drinking habit. He liked to stay out late in the pubs, drinking and arguing Scripture with the college boys. He had a hangover every Sunday morning. Churches always had services early back then. But Luther said, "I'm making the rules now, so I can say church will not be until 11." So he could get over his headache. Things are not wrong based on how they got started. However, when it comes to clothing... Pants on women are accepted now, but 100 years ago, when it hit fashion catwalks, it was considered women wearing men's clothing. Just like what hit the fashion world last year. Men are now starting to wear pink lacy see-thru shirts, with ruffles and white peter-pan collars, with fabric roses at the throat. And skirts made for men are starting to hit fashion, also. There's nothing more feminine than a skirt and ruffly blouse. And nothing more masculine than slacks, a jacket and tie. Ellen Degeneres wears what she does, and cuts her hair the way she does in order to look like a man! Sadly, she looks no different than what most churches today think is just fine! God said women are not to wear that which pertains to men, and vise versa. Why? Because God wants the gender lines to remain crisp and clear. All this modern androgyny and transgenderism and gender confusion is of the devil, trying to mess up God's creation. Fashion getting women to wear pants was only the first shot across the bow, in the modern war for homosexuality. Satan has very long-range goals. How long will it take for the Church to accept skirts on men? Women wearing skirts is simply saying "AMEN" to our Creator. Now... as for makeup... It has been scientifically proven that all that makeup tries to do is to heighten the coloring that naturally occurs when women are the most fertile. When her cycle is at the precise point where she is easiest to get pregnant... the rims of her eyes get a bit darker. Around her eyes, the shadows are a bit deeper... her lips are pinker... and her skin is more evenly toned... and the cheeks are slightly more blushed. The subliminal message makeup is speaking is, "Hey, guys! I wanna get pregnant!" And a guy may not know why he reacts to a girl wearing makeup more than one not. But it works.

There is NO scripture that speaks about women wearing pants. The scripture that you are referencing INCORRECTLY is Deuteronomy 22:5 (King James Version) 5"The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God." I have met more prideful, self-righteous people who do NOT wear make-up, than those who DO. They glory in it.. I wear make-up because it is part of getting dressed. Even if I was on a DESERTED ISLAND, I would still wear make-up, because I think a woman should take care of herself. A woman should keep herself attractive for her HUSBAND; that includes make-up.

God called us to be HOLY, not HOMELY! You must be United Pentecostals. All of you around the World have that long hair, no make up, ugly long dresses. Paint your faces, smear some harlot red lip stick on, arch thoe werewolf eyebrows, dab on some blush, cut your hair and spike it, get baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost--and I promise you'll still be saved, plus you'll be prettier and feel better about yourselves.
