Buffer amplifier frequently asked Question....is it before/after the pre amp?? Ans :-A buffer amplifier can be connected both before or after a preamplifier, depending on the specific application and requirements. If the buffer amplifier is connected before the preamplifier, it serves as an input buffer. Its primary function is to isolate the input signal source from the preamplifier. This can be useful when the signal source has a high output impedance or is sensitive to loading effects. The buffer amplifier ensures that the input impedance seen by the signal source remains high, preventing any signal degradation or loss due to impedance mismatch. On the other hand, if the buffer amplifier is connected after the preamplifier, it acts as an output buffer. In this configuration, the preamplifier provides the necessary gain and signal conditioning, and the buffer amplifier ensures that the output impedance is low and can drive the load (such as a power amplifier or a recording device) without any significant loss or distortion. The output buffer prevents the connected load from affecting the performance of the preamplifier. The choice of whether to use a buffer amplifier before or after the preamplifier depends on the specific requirements of the audio or signal chain, such as impedance matching, signal integrity, and driving capability👍

It is widely used as loudness operation amp. It's really great.

Small difference...if a gainer board contains preset/gain control pot then its gain greater than unity. So it act as pre amplifier

Gainer circuit will increase the amplitude/ voltage level only(it have a feedback resistor which can be adjusted to obtain desired voltage gain)....If we increase the voltage gain then current will be reduced...This circuit can be used after pre amp to rise the current again and reduce the loss. So we can able to connect multiple loads without signal degradation with this circuit👍

TL072 is a dual opamp, so we can copy the same circuit to second channel
