Hi, I’m thinking of booking Banyan Tree in Maldives but what I’m not so sure about is the meal plan. I saw you drinking Bacardi, did you order it in the resort separately or was it included in your meal plan? Btw, thank you for the video. It’s more helpful to imagine than pictures!

I would email the hotel about meal plans. I normally have room service dinner, and breakfast/lunch in the restaurant. The minibar has alcoholic drinks, but you can't bring duty free alcohol to Maldives. Food is tasty. Enjoy.

Best Holiday in my live - I‘am 43 years old ... coming from Germany. For Next April we‘ll plan our next trip to the Maldives... Greetings... Snorkelling and Sealife Maldives - Baa Atoll is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve... Four Seasons Landaa Giravaruu probably best if you like sealife etc. I visited Germany recently - Berlin, enjoyed very much. Thank you and Greetings ;-)

To get to the Banyan Tree from your stay at the 'W' - can you island hop (boat) or have to return via seaplane then out again ?

Maldives is made up of a series of Atolls. Male, the capital, is on one atoll. The resorts of South and North Male atoll are accessible by speedboat. The other atolls either seaplane or proper plane depending on distance. Between atolls further away accessible by plane (each has many resorts) - can take speedboat between resort at any given atoll. So Banyan Tree is on same atoll as Male, W is a different atoll. So seaplane W to Male, then speedboat to Banyan Tree. Likewise, later this year I'm planning to visit Maldives again - the Baa Atoll has Four Seasons Landa Giravu and Anantara Kihavah Resort - so seaplane to Baa Atoll, then speedboat between resorts. The Resorts, at least the 5 star places, coordinate the schedules so minimum time wasted travelling - they're quite slick arranging transfers between resorts.

Banyan Tree are good - and the Banyan Tree Seychelles excellent. Four Seasons Seychelles is exquisite - I'm planning to visit Desroches Island Four Seasons next year... Banyan Tree Maldives, by their standards, is so so...

off memory Seychelles weather is same all year round. certainly Maldives is summer and dry November. Four Seasons Seychelles is great...

At a guess 21 x usd600. Banyan Tree have like stay 2 nights, get one free offers frequently, so you'll likely only pay for 2 weeks and stay 3 weeks. Email them...

I like how BT Maldives is promoting itself as an environmental friendly company and then you can find shark feeding on the weekly scheduled activities for tourist. Really didn't like it.

Maldives Overhyped ...... Super boring in just 2 days. Waste of money and time. 99% fake utubers and travellers boast about places they visit , just to give condolences to mind that I have not wasted life.
