Arrived Monday night, first day on slopes today and it was brilliant. Not skied for 14 years and brought the kids for the first time this week. Booked a lesson and equipment hire with Bansko Ski Sport opposite gondola entrance and they've been excellent. Couldn't recommend them enough. They even met us across the road and took our ski gear into shop for us. Any recommendations for lunch stop as there were no tables at any of the restaurants up top today! So far Bansko has been great. Great blog too Lance.

Been here since 9th Feb. Not seen Lance yet…he is elusive!! Conditions today up at the top were great. Pistes 5 and 10 very very busy. Avoid if you can! Red 12 a joy though as well as Chalin Valog. Happy End bar for Après-ski was excellent, fantastic atmosphere 👍👍👍

Hope the week after this one is going to be good. Arriving with my friends and family on 21st and we're going to ski for 5 days :)

Arriving Saturday night - so a timely video. We really enjoyed the Familia Tavern for leisurely late lunch last year - and great local red wine. We are getting lessons and equipment all from Bansko Blog and Ski Mania - so thanks Lance.

Hey guys, cheers from Bulgaria I would recommend the tavern Babuch in the village of Dobrinishte! The best tavern in Southern Bulgaria! Only 8km away. from Bansko. Try it😊

I've also enjoyed the ski road:) I'm just back from Zell Am See, and it did not snow all week and it was 14 degrees all week. Snow conditions were not that great at all. Just an unlucky week. We are going some place different and higher up next year.

On Plato the piste was excellent. Soft. But #5 had hard parts that should ease up as day goes on.

Whilst you can buy a gondola only ticket the usual ski pass includes the gondola lift
