Awesome video, love what you’re doing and it’s cool to watch this channel grow. Side note, absolutely relieved you actually know where the plate is supposed to ride. So many idiots on youtube put them way too low and leave way too much exposed up top.

Your video quality is awesome man. It’s cool to see your dep letting you run stuff like this. Once I get out of the USMC I’m gonna try and go back home to help out my local Dep with training and stuff so they can get on the same level😂

Thank you for showing the banshee off. I really was looking for a reference of color on ranger green as some pictures it looks like a very light green and i was looking for a darker green.

Not according to my brother. He didn't think there was any way to be safe. He said they kept making things that would defeat multiple layers of armor, then went into detail abt it, making me even more nervous. He went back, and back, and back. Some people went 12 damn times.

You must've been hit with a shit ton of IED's to make that statement. Or, hit directly by a 7.62, which makes it very personal, as that enemy combatant was aiming to kill you, personally. Purple Heart(S), obviously warranted.

@@VickiBee no one goes on a back to back to back to back deployment. "Veterans" with the best war stories were in a combat zone and not in actual combat. There is a huge difference. If you think I'm falsifying this testimony to this statement, message me privately. I'll humbly speak to your brother, who obviously has vast knowledge, in closing with the enemy to get clarification and, post here if I am wrong. The USMC marker by those who earned the title is a misrepresentation... as they all like to think they're all, Infantry. All Marines are trained at the range as marksman. Not rifleman. Edit: I would like to add that, yes, there are those that love to go on back to back to back deployments. Afterall, "combat" pay, which is tax excluded can become lucrative. If you're sitting in a fobbit and a mortar round makes it way into a safe zone, the nightmare can be horrendous. No one calls mom or dad with an allotted time of 5 minutes, if that, overseas from a satellite phone, and tell the terrors of combat. We call and say we're at a picnic with an extended spring break, all is fine... will call you as soon as our plane lands in San Diego, please prepare alcohol and steak. Doesn't matter... beer and steak.

Great video, brother. I assume since this is an active shooter plate carrier, you throw this over your duty body armour? And very true about wearing body armour every day. Sucks but it’s necessary haha

I wear a 45lb plate carrier during training, etc, since im not deployed. holds lvl4 plates, 3a soft SPEAR panels, and lvl3 side plates. plus a lot of gear, since my torso is short I hold more gear on my carrier.

I hate my gen 1 Banshee. If you've worn the gen 1, how does it compare to the gen 2? Do you have any trouble shouldering your rifle with those thick shoulder pads?

Make sure you add water to your kit. PC and plates are great but you will sweat, you will get hot and it will wreck you quick. Also not a bad idea to have another plate carrier with fake plates with some weight and mag pouches to train in and get used to. I see a lot of dudes at the range wearing all the gear who are absolutely gassed out with minimal exercise.

Looks like a very quality carrier, I would suggest that no carrier is complete without its own ifak. Even if you have one on your belt or you are the medic attached to the first line team, an ifak should be on the outer most part of your kit. If you are the medic in the entry stack it’s even more critical since there will most likely not be anyone within arms reach who will be able to use you main trauma kit..... just a thought though

I just got one of the original Banshee PC kits with level IV 4S17 plates and I'm having a similar issue with the shoulder straps. I'm a smaller guy, 5'10 135 lbs, and I'm having to cinch the shoulder straps down basically the whole way in order to get the rig sitting high enough, but I've been having an issue where the straps lose retension and basically slip several inches causing the plate to sit far too low. Any advice on getting these damn straps to stay put?

Everyone stresses the front part of the armor and never adjust the rear?? I made it standard for Marines to focus on the rear as much as the front. It's actually slightly more comfortable as well. Just as in this your video, your front is adjusted at heart, but the rear is way too low. Why is this not taught? You'll be a lot more comfortable when wearing your duty belt. I'm not LEO, so my observation is moot.

I actually don't like them coming in like it's a war but I was the one lying on the ground watching while almost all the blood in my body (it seemed) poured across the concrete like how the Blob in that famous movie movie. It rolled like a river and I'm not saying anything more than what actually occurred. Not using any melodramatic descriptions. In fact, it WASN'T cinematic. I didn't fly 6 feet forward, but I felt like a huge invisible hand suddenly slammed against my back and forced me to be thrown forward. But I don't think I even made it a foot beyond where I was. And that's both literally and figuratively when life as I knew it until then dropped out of existence. They resuscitated me two times and saved my physical life but I lost the job I'd had and have lived from that point forward in continuous pain. There's not a single second anymore that I don't feel pain from it bc it only cause partial nerve damage. That's where I was shot: In L-4 & 5, a few ins left of center. Also in the lung. The doctor decided to tell me that if it had gone lower it would have entered the left ventricle.
