This song is SO underrated.

This is still one of my favorite music videos by her. It is so simple and minimal. Yet with a very astounding statement. The house in the video foreshadows BANKS' mind. It seems wrecked, active and very violent on the inside. But on the outside, the sky is clear and there appears to be no storm whatsoever (this is clarified in the end of the video, when the camera tracks outside the house, and up showing the sky). It is such a beautiful analogy of the notion of over-thinking and depression. On the outside some people may seem pleasant and calm. But on the inside, they are a disastrous hurricane .

damn. this lady is putting out amazing music. has to be hands down the best underground pop vocalist currently. i love Gaga (a lot) but this music is so much more deep, rich, emotional & sensual than anything currently available in the pop music world.

I actually disagree. Once artist are put on the radio they are overplayed and it ruins the greatness of their songs and they just end up on the radio. I would prefer she stay less known so she doesn't get annoying to hear.

@@Rohan_Trishan it's an adjustable synth setting called formant which makes it resonate like a vocoder or voice saying a vowel sound. It's also filtered and a few other things. It sounds absolutely sick and definitely like a frog or creature.

I love banks as an artist, she is a breath of fresh air to me, I literally have not been listen to music for a while because nothing was grabbing me...but this is song! and banks period is amazing and will be diving into more of her music. I honestly hopes she stays with her style and sound, please please don't go mainstream! a lot of underground/independent artist I find I enjoy them for a while then BOOM they go mainstream their sound changes and the artist just losses themselves. banks girl please stay true to your art and music don't let any labels screw it up.
