Hello, the banks charge $0.5 to $1 on every interac transaction but that $1 is shown as a separate transaction in the statement. Do you think they do it deliberately to increase the number of total transactions to make more money.

Madam for fixed deposit accounts, can I make some one as my nominee and if yes, can I make someone living outside of canada as nominee? Eg my parents sibling back in homecountry.

It is possible to open a bank account before landing but the banks that have this option do not offer it for Nigeria.

Yes, you can do that online, over the phone and at a branch. Lots of ways to transfer easily.

Yes, you can open bank accounts as a student. Students get free banking and can avoid fees if they use the accounts right, more videos on this

I like RBC for international students because they offer unsecured credit cards along with student accounts unlike some of the other banks.
