I’m a Sri Lankan born and my partner is English. I completely agree about the handling of children and how we suppress their capabilities! When our children were born, I tried to wrap them up with cotton wool! Fortunately, my husband taught me about raising them responsibly! I can now see how advanced, independent and skilled my kids are compared to their Sri Lankan peers!

The other aspect of this is the way we 'demand' our children to worship all elders that aren't even our family, where children are conditioned to develop a slave mentality. Whilst I do not object whatsoever for showing respect to those who deserve, is worshiping anyone and everyone is the only way? This is why our youngsters can't challenge anyone (i.e. teachers, advisors etc.) and be curious and build their confidence. Working as a lecturer in the UK, if I expect my students to just accept whatever I say, how boring and non-productive is that? How can we compete with the world, if we teach our kids to accept things as they are, purely based on someone's age!!

I was a banker and did debt restructuring way back in 1998/1999 . I adopted these methods and recovered 99.9% of the defaulted loans within a year. Very valuable discussion. Thanks for educating the ordinary ppl of Sri Lanka. I migrated to USA and now living currently in USA. I was following singularity sri lanka and slvlog for close to a year now. During this period as I understood Manju Nishshanka explained the best possible vision for our country, where no other political leader or a president has ever done yet for us. Although there will be challenges with our fellow citizens habits, it can be rectified over a period with correct implementation and forcing law and order.Hope people understand the value of Manju's proposal for our countries progress to come out of this current mess, and support it. Anwer to second: If you are honest, listen Anura speech given to Tourist industries, he is always talking about smaller and efficient government. Great discussion, I was listening to it while commuting to work. If we are to come out of this rut the key is educating our young generation. If we can incorporate these type discussions in the mainstream education system, that would be ideal.

Manju and Malinda, I am very proud to see SriLankans of your nature (educated, having a big shoulder on your back, brave, bold and fearless). Clearly this is not the platform you two Sons should be instead in the parliament, sadly we have the old haggard braindead bustards there. People take a closer look at these Sons of our Lanka and ensure that they represent the country not on social media. Yes, I am someone who look forward to your videos and discussions hence there is no age barrier to educate yourself when you understand that you don't pocess enough knowledge on same. Parliament don't be ashamed at least to watch these and gain some knowledge.

Yeah well, today i cried watching this episode I literally cried. I am also a digital nomad but I am also a lecturer in an institute that tries to make our srilanka beautiful by educating our young crowd. I feel what you are implying. Our mother country only have three of four months to live after that we will or we can leave this country but what will happen to our young ones. We may leave behind a future elon mask to rot in this country. I mean we people have to get together now, We have to start a smart aragalaya not with sanding bill boards not with shouting but with our smart minds.

Anwer to second: If you are honest, listen Anura speech given to Tourist industries, he is always talking about smaller and efficient government. AKD plan is to do economic expansion and not expand government. Listen to content of AKD and Sajith, you will see big contrast. Will keep the conversation, Thank you for your concerns.

SL vlog is full of plain actors and most probably paid by SJB or other corrupt looting party to divide the floating votes and give power back to the the two looting parties. These guys will disappear just after the election .... Thats why they always criticize JVP and never criticize " Kudu Hirunika " ))
Great discussion, I was listening to it while commuting to work. If we are to come out of this rut the key is educating our young generation. If we can incorporate these type discussions in the mainstream education system, that would be ideal.

Yeah well, today i cried watching this episode I literally cried. I am also a digital nomad but I am also a lecturer in an institute that tries to make our srilanka beautiful by educating our young crowd. I feel what you are implying. Our mother country only have three of four months to live after that we will or we can leave this country but what will happen to our young ones. We may leave behind a future elon mask to rot in this country. I mean we people have to get together now, We have to start a smart aragalaya not with sanding bill boards not with shouting but with our smart minds.

Could listen to the end and there were some interesting ideas. The problem is that We can't grow as a country unless individuals inside country grow individually. Because country is make of them. Anyway those who are good always get good wherever they live.
I would be very much excited if you could bring someone responsible from the side of the government or involved in government works and conduct a podcast like this with this two. That will be a blast. Also our institute in Sri Lanka has the Face recognition to track the attendance.
