Bank Robber Dresses as Santa, Has Terrible Experience | Tales From the Bottle

Ойын-сауық

This bank robber thought disguising himself as Santa would be a smart idea, and maybe it was, but it didn't stop the heist from becoming spectacularly catastrophic.
"The Santa Claus Bank Robbery occurred on December 23, 1927, in the Central Texas town of Cisco. Marshall Ratliff, dressed as Santa Claus, along with Henry Helms and Robert Hill, all ex-cons, and Louis Davis, a relative of Helms, held up the First National Bank in Cisco. The robbery is one of Texas' most infamous crimes, having invoked the largest manhunt ever seen in the state. Boyce House, editor of the Ranger Times, a newspaper in the county at the time, wrote that this was "the most spectacular crime in the history of the Southwest ... surpassing any in which Billy the Kid or the James boys had ever figured.""

Nice little lake to fish in and a lot of antique shops. Great place to go hunting too. Plus a beer brewery called “Red Gap.” Good beer if you ever find some you should try it.

we all hate the incompitance of bad police officers, but this story is proof of why you don't want swafts of people taking justice into their own hands when there's no discipline or even consequence to stop them from shooting civilians, hostages, and each other in the pursuit of a goal, a simple bank heist turned into "It's a Mad mad mad mad world" with guns, frankly im shocked the money they found in the car didn't mysteriously disappear amongst the vigilante mob in all the chaos of this chase.

I love you as a creator and all your hard work and research to release a video every week as an animation channel does not go unnoticed by your audience! Your videos/animation DO NOT go unnoticed!! Your videos are so interesting yet so simple, I don’t even have to watch the videos, I can just listen and it’s just as good! You’ve made me laugh so hard and your content is just my cup of gin :). I’ll end with this, Qxir, thank you so much. You are among my favorite creators on KZread, and I’ve been on this platform since 2009. Please, please! Durango Colorado 1973ish. My dad's boss Randy's construction biz is wiped out by the IRS. He forgot to pay taxes. Sad, mad, and drunk, Randy phone's in a bomb threat to the local Bank. "Put alot of money in the trash can in the park or ill blow up the Bank !" The Bank ACTUALLY puts ALOT of money in the trash can. The police went to the park to nab him getting the money. They went to the wrong park. Randy walks the the two blocks from the El Rancho Bar (where he'd called from) and gets his money. Back the Rancho, puts his sack on a stool and buys a round for the house. The bartender, tipped off by thousands of dollars in a paper sack, uses the same pay phone to call the police. Randy goes to prison. Years later he gets out and robs a supermarket payroll or something like that. The Lady prosecutor falls for Randy. A good lookin character. She maneuvers a light sentence. Randy gets out, marries the prosecutor, lives happily until a ripe old age.
