The word "flip" is commonly used to mean to "sell" or to "swap" in modern English. Indeed there are even TV shows about "flipping houses" and "flipping cars". This is what Mr Elba was meaning, obvious really.

If a bank note has written on it "I promise to pay the bearer the sum of...", this is a promissory note, it's a debt note, it's a promise to pay... pay what exactly...? It's just a promise therefore it's a DEBT note, NOT a credit note. Why are we paying TAX on a DEBT?

The truth is often hidden in childrens stories of old... The "Wizard of Oz" is the wizard of the ounce...the ounce of gold. He lives in the Emerald city...the city of the greenback. Dorothy and Toto follow the "yellow brick road" a road of blocks of gold to the wizard. She wears silver shoes in the book not ruby as in the film...walking on gold and silver. She first meets the "Strawman", he has no brain, he's not real, he's "the legal fiction", the birth certificate. She then meets the "TINman", he's a machine with no heart, he's the Tax and INsurance number. She then meets the "Lion" with no courage, but he's supposed to be the King of the jungle, the sovereign. The wicked witch and her flying monkeys are there to scare Dorothy and to take Toto away. The witch gets "liquidated". Toto means totality and has animal instincts following his nose. Know what is real, know the strawman is fictional, know the TINman is a machine, stand fearless in your sovereignty, and in totality use your animal instincts to sniff out the little old man behind the curtain pulling the string in a fantasy world of illusions and you'll find your way back to solid ground in Kansas again.

An Australian Senator asked why Australian gold was being held at the Bank of England? The unelected official responded by saying "because we lend that gold at interest". The senator then asked so why can't we hold the gold here and lend it out, as the gold doesn't actually move. The official replied, " it's too expensive to bring the gold back to Australia, freight and security cost etc.". Also, the Senator asked why , in 2015, where gold bars recast and new serials numbers issued? They had no response that I know of, I think the question was "taken on notice". The current monetary system is a scam, perpetrated by central banks around the world, a banksters paradise.

Well explain thank you for bringing up this video Financial education is indeed required for more than 80% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject. The value of the US dollar is declining due to inflation, but it is increasing in comparison to other currencies and commodities such as gold and real estate. I'm worried that rising inflation will cause my 550k in my retirement funds to lose value, But with the help of Sandy Barclays I hit 220k this week from my investment of 45k, I am truly grateful for all the knowledge and nuggets you have given me over the past few months.

Even with the right strategies and appropriate assets, investment returns can differ among investors. Recognizing the vital role of experience in investment success is crucial. Personally, I understood this significance and sought guidance from a market analyst, significantly growing my account to nearly a million. Strategically withdrawing profits just before the market correction, I'm now seizing buying opportunities once again.

They always talk about how heavy gold and silver is to carry! But haven’t people in the past carried gold and silver coinage? It’s no heavier today than it was 200 years ago yet they claim to us that precious metal is too heavy to carry and transact business with! But inflation allows us to carry the same amount of gold and silver that our forefathers carried in order to meet our debts

I don't think people care about the weight thing. They have just moved away from physical money because debit/cc cards or phone wallets are just more convenient to use and are far less risky to carry around. Lose your wallet or have it stolen and the cash/coins are gone for good. Carry a debit, credit card or phone wallet and they get disabled when you report the theft/loss and cover the unauthorized usage. Businesses have even less incentive for physical money as it opens up a whole host of issues for them to deal with. 99.9% of businesses out there want no part of verifying precious metals for weight or purity.

When i read it the first time on the note, my first question was; £20 pounds worth of What? Because, as i know, back in the days, the note was saying that the bearer will be given £X worth of gold or silver, depending on the note. And the fact that pound(s) can also refer to weight or monetary note, you can get £20 worth of sand, salt or nothing (air). And we know that they do love their doublespeak. and you can easily flip a 1 Oz gold coin too.

Idris Elba was joking that it was a 20kg Gold Bar that was too heavy to flip. The 'Promise' was the phrase that made the currency 'Legal Tender' and meant that the issuing bank would exchange it for coins or other notes of Legal Tender, up to the value of the note. At one time, the British Pound was backed by the Gold Standard (as most World Currencies were), so you could exchange a £5 note for 5 £1 gold coins, or the equivalent value of Dollars, Franks, Rupees, etc. based on an agreed exchange rate. Later, UK Currency was based on Silver (92.5% pure) and known as 'Pounds Sterling'. Now it is simply known as £GBP and the 'Promise' only refers to other coins and notes of 'Legal Tender'.

The word "flip" has become slang for "selling" or "swapping" in both England and the US. Indeed there have been several TV shows about "flipping houses" and "flipping cars" in recent years to support the use of the word flip to mean buying and selling / swapping / exchanging. Gold coins in the West are not as easy to flip, ie exchange / swap / sell, for goods and services as cash, indeed most people will have to visit a money changer / dealer to "spend" / "flip" their coin.

Gold is over $76K per kilo or over $76 per gram but a $100 bill weighs 1g. What happens when gold is over $100 per gram again? Maybe they'll start printing $500 or $1000 bills but that doesn't look good for the economy if they do that. I'm expecting gold to never return below $100 per gram after 2030.
