It’s about finding one’s redemption in one’s own self. From “save me,” the person has now learned to “love him/herself” and now relies on him/herself first and foremost during hard times. This is included in their Love Yourself: Answer album. Also, with the “I’m fine” concept going with people helping JK up, I believe it is also in line with their “Love Yourself” principle-that the only way to have a real love relationship with others is to first love yourself. PS. The live show you reacted to is one of my faves!!! It was actually shot in 2018 I believe. Also, this perf shut those people who could not believe that they were actually singing live in their perf. Them vocals!

This was 2018. They performed IDOL before this on the same show.

I love the duality of Save Me/I'm Fine. In Save Me, the person seems to be drowning, but the beat feels almost hopeful, like they have hope to BE saved. But in I'm Fine, it feels depressed and resigned, like they had to figure out how to get along by themselves, no one came to help, and now, they're drowning, but trying to tell themselves and the world around them, "I'm fine". The choreography in I'm Fine, for me, is one of the most emotional and poignant out of all their routines. You see them all falling and failing, but their brothers are always there to pick them back up again. They dance frantically, almost desperately, throughout the song. And then, they end with all of them tired and facing to Namjoon, and he's the only one looking back at them, watching over them. It gets my feels going every time. Anyone who's experienced depression has probably gone through it. You're in a bad place, but you keep telling yourself, it's fine, you're fine, you're doing ok, you'll make it. You're NOT doing well, you need someone else to pull your ass up out of the dark place you're in. But you still keep telling yourself "I'm fine, I'm doing good - I just need to stay busy and keep my mind off it", knowing you're not doing well, but hoping that mantra will get you through it. Sometimes, it works, and you make it through. But sometimes, it did nothing but drive you further from anyone who could have helped you. Or, at least, that is what I experienced, and how I perceive this song. So it does hit a very personal place for me, as well. It feels like they're telling themselves that they are fine, in the hopes that they can convince themselves of it, rather than it being true.

Do they know about the hint in Fake love mv when the two words “save me” was written behind V? Like if u flipped the screen it will be “im fine”

The lyrics express the understanding inside the narrator that realizes they’ve relied too much on someone. It specifically highlights how BTS no longer need someone else to save them, after all the hardships, they’re fine with saving themselves. The title of the track references a consistent play on words featured multiple times in BTS’s ongoing storyline. This play on words was first introduced as their 2016 track “Save Me.” The corresponding phrases “Save Me” and “I’m Fine” are reflections of each other. I KNOW I'M ALL MINE, MINE, MINE The “I know I’m all mine” is the reassurance of knowing who you are and that you are the person you are going to be living with for the rest of your life. By mentioning the moon, these lines dive into a deeper interpretation of salvation. Most people immediately relate light to the sun, however BTS are referencing this light coming from the moon instead. Considering the moon as a light source is ironic because the light from the moon is the reflection of the sun. It’s simply a more subdued version of the sun’s light. The two holding V up at the beginning was Suga and J-Hope (Sope)! This was the first time they were at The Tonight Show (2018) and Jimmy Fallon always treats them well when they go on the show. Def check out the version of "On" in Grand Central Terminal earlier this year! They closed it down for BTS to do the performance in the wee hours of the morning and the guys had no clue how big of a deal performing in Grand Central was. You'll notice they always go on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in NYC and The Late Late Show with James Corden in Cali.

The wardrobe they were wearing is from their album IDOL , because IDOL and I’m Fine are same songs from LOVE YOURSELF: ANSWER ( the 4th series of LY ALBUM)

I don't know if any body has mentioned this that this stage was so small that the boys had to readjust their performance to fit the stage and had to focus on not getting hurt bumping into things and themselves. This choreo had a lot moves that required space like the spin jump and stretching on the floor etc but the boys pulled it off fabulously and I was thankful no one got injured. You would see how intricate this choreo is when you watch them perform this full scale on a larger stage. It's more impressive. Alex, if patience is a virtue, you definitely are a prime example. Proud of you! 😄💜

I love this song ☺ I interpret it as being, like you guys said, you're getting yourself out, but to me it's like you're still in the process, hence how much the phrase "I'm fine" and "I'm okay" repeats because it is representing you're inner thoughts, having to regularly remind yourself that actually, you are okay, and even if you are not quite there yet, at some point you will be 💜 I always love hearing from how other people perceive their songs as I love being shown different perspectives, as I feel it lets me understand their songs more deeply ☺

Don't worry guys they performed this in 2018 someone must have uploaded it now, one of my favorite lyric is from I'm Fine its "Our future's only filled with happiness, so lets leave those worries folded aside and let's just enjoy, you worked hard, we so fine" its from Suga's verse but he raps so fast its hard to catch it lol they usually perform Save Me till its first chorus and then switch it up to I'm fine and its kinda cool with the whole Save me/I'm fine text from their storyline you'll see it if you watch a Save Me + I'm fine live or their comeback stage

You should see them play this song live in concert or awards shows they often start with the intro to save me then shift to I'm fine its a two part thing great to watch.

When you analize the song in the context of their albums it have all the sense of the world. Save me was part of their The Most beautiful Moment In Life:YOUNG FOREVER meanwhile Im fine was part of the LOVE YOURSELF SERIES so in that context and following the idea of the conection between the two songs: Save me was a cry for help in an era/age of insecurities as Youth always is but Im Fine is the realization of self worth/self comfort wich only comes with the process of learning and growing

Arthur!!( she exclaimed...) I have to tell you,that this year I have too many experiences with friends over 70 years that are experiencing mental issues ,especially after anesthesia. I think your patient's daughter may have blown up something because she did not understand her mother over the phone.I have learned how frightening it is,also,when your friend experiences confusion and paranoia...even after they recover. Now I know how important it is for family members to help in brain recovery,by frequently talking over old memories to help the brain reset. Nurses can be helpful and reassuring by being caring and patient. I bet your patients are very grateful to see your smiling eyes!!!

I'm fine/save me is used a lot in therapy - addiction/mental health - I am retired from surgical nursing and I have seen this tattoo on many patients, this tattoo is very dear and important to them. There are great live performances where BTS sang Save Me followed by I'm Fine, but I love the I'm Fine performance on Jimmy Fallon because so many locaals/general public watched it and appreciated BTS and that gave me a sense of pride. It's a shame that the Tonight Show channel removed the video, I am not sure why they did that.

Hey fellas! Great video (as per usual). I was "listening" since I'm at work. Sorry if duplicate, but just couple things I wanted to share that are pretty cool/fun to me about the performance. This was from the Tonight Show w/Jimmy Fallon from Sept 2018 (still on the TS channel plus their interview). If you go back & look at your video at the dance at 19:52. Look at V. They are so IN SYNC that you can barely see that JK is right behind him in that part of the dance. Also at the end of the song the members reach out to lift V up and then RM faces to the right & the members face RM, I believe in representation of him as their Leader :)
