In case y’all are wondering about why they called this gem Anpanman, basically anpanman is a “superhero” with a red bean bun for a head (an pan means red bean bread) and when kids get hurt they can take a bite out of his head to heal. In return, anpanman becomes weak and has to return back to the workshop for a new head so he can keep helping hurt children. The concept of the cartoon is a little ridiculous (but adorable imo) so people always say anpanman’s not a real superhero :( Basically Bangtan’s trying to make the point that they’re not superheroes but they can still be ARMY’s anpanman and protect us and make us happy even if it might hurt them. (I’ll just be here crying if you need me)

Other k-pop groups: **sings about how much they love you and how much success they got** BTS: **trying to convince army's that they are heroes made of bread** *[EDIT]* for everyone who doesn’t know: anpanman is a popular japanese cartoon superhero that’s made of bread (anpan-bbang). the song is about this unique superhero who goes around saving people by giving them pieces of himself to eat (like when namjoon gives a piece of himself to jimin, jimin eats it and starts singing), and this gives them the “power” to overcome their hardships. behind all the fun colours and witty lyrics, it’s actually a really emotional and quite a sad concept, because it talks about how this superhero is giving away parts of himself to make others happy, which is something very similar to what bangtan does. they work endlessly and feign cheerfulness in their toughest of times, so much so that sometimes we don’t even realize they have such intense problems, so they are essentially giving up their need for their whole being to make their fans happy. i hope i explained it well enough, although this is only my interpretation of the song and is probably not 100% accurate. love you, stream DYNAMITE 🧨💜

Jeepman89 There are koreans with deep voices, and Taehyung is a baritone, meaning he has a low to middle range, but most bts songs are made for a tenor/high range, so maybe that’s why you don’t think he has a deep voice. There are deeper, yes, but it’s still deep. Songs like spine breaker, just one day and boyz with fun showcase his lower range better if you want to check that out.
