Traditionally in Bengali weddings a decorated entrance or gate is made. At the groom’s home, the gate is decorated to welcome the bride to her new home. Often this is the first time the new bride will have seen her new home!
Lighting and flowers are also used to decorate the home and bedroom.
Various stages are decorated, for occasions such as the mehendi, or for the perfect photo opportunity for when the bride and groom arrive back home.
