Ever is an adverb. It modifies verbs. The word Ever means at any time. Mainly, In the first sentence 'Have you ever been to Cox's Bazar' ever is used to give emphasis on the verb. In the later sentence, ever has not been used that means it is not giving any emphasis on the verb. For example, 'Have you ever been to Rome?' Here ever is giving emphasis on the verb. 'Have you been to Rome? Here the questioner is not giving any emphasis on the verb. I loved your effort @MahmudulSarkar. Let me know what you know about ever?
