this like "Holi" festival in india, it takes place just after winters ends & summer is about to start, people throw water & colour on each other to celiberate change of season 👍

As Thai people we know that we have this festival culture from India cuz we are Buddhist we accepted a lot culture from Indian but it just turned to Thailand style ❤

Nice to see what’s is going on behind the scenes. We felt the same about Christmas at first and never understood the expectations of receiving materialistic present especially in comparison to Thai songkran = which only using water to cleanse, washing away bad feeling, showing well wishes for one another and embarking a new better life journey. Though, we now embraced all cultural differences in festivities and go with the flow just like you. This is because at the end of the day, it is about life happiness and the values of effort that keeps bringing people closer together for better outcomes. So no matter what celebration it is, if its heal or spiritually made us feel better and becoming a better person peacefully, then - all of these special celebrations events are actually special in their own way. Happy songkran to everyone.❤

It’s not only in Thailand. We in south east Asia, same Buddhist as Thailand celebrate too. It’s a Buddhism New Year.

Songkran fest isn't just 13-15 April bro, 21 April have Songkran fest in Phra-pradaeng province and Bang Phlee commu (Bang Sao Thong province) too.

I may tend to be pessimistic. I'm worried about the water-throwing festival being held near the electric power source. In Sanam Luang, there are many areas with spotlights. The audience, especially kids, needs to be careful not to touch any parts of the light stands when they are wet because of the potential risk of electrical leakage, which could be life-threatening.

Do we need to pay a ticket?
