Was staying in Bangkok during the 80s. Bought some "Thai rock music' on cassettes - turned out Asanee Wasan was one of them. Had no idea what the words meant (had to get Thai friends to translate) but the music was great and this song was one of the tracks. Thanks for the memories.

The main difference is they preserve there culture but we are more into Western culture .We aren't developed we think westernisation is development but not . Mumbai has it's own culture it has so many monuments which aren't preserved well by Maharashtra government and Indian government as well we have so many buddist sites but nobody really care about them.

lol its just bangkok ceremonial name its one place.

Foreigners call Thailand' capital city as Bangkok but all of local Thai call only Krung Thep.

Your grandparents may be “Yodia” (lit. The People who were defeated”) people from Ayutthaya (lit. Undefeated City), the original “People of the Capital”. Be proud, Bangkok was built by those that remained so they never forget their once great city, Ayutthaya.

Not likely. His/her grandparents probably still alive during year 2490 -2520. While Ayutthaya was lost in year 2310 which is over 250 years ago.

Listening to this after completing my first day in Thailand. Saw the floating and railway markets - got my nose hairs trimmed but the train. 8 days to go!

Yes, I knew that when I visited BK last year, stayed @ Soi19 Sukumvit..I could'nt go to the Mahanakhon Skycrapper due to lack of time, but visited Chao Prya River launch,Pattaya & all Buddhist temples. Nice Melodious Song...Sound like Hindi Song!😊
