I did the Bangkok to Pattaya taxi a couple of years ago, i've never been so scared in my life! The taxi driver was crazy, 150km/h through busy traffic, then a stop near the airport to change into a different taxi. I made it out alive though! Pattaya at night is an experience in itself! Miles of ladies lined up along the beach waiting to be chosen!

Always book your taxi through Pattaya Exprees, you can do before you leave home - no upfront payment, fantastic service - waiting for you at the Exit Gate (Meeting Point) professionally trained drivers and top notch cars - 1,300 baht

That feeling when you get to Pattaya , theres nothing like it.

I stop there and even with a bag and big suit case a motor cycle taxi will take me directly to my hotel near Soi Buokou for 100bht.Oh and Roong bus from airport 130 bht!Use Bell bus for return trip about 250 bht!

13:23 stayed there a few times when in BKK....nice, clean little hotel. good prices too and guest friendly ;-)

Christmas party in the Pandora Bar 21.12. I'll be there 😀

"Super, Smashing, Great". Soi 11, the place which is now a construction site, there used to be a great open air restaurant there which had 3 or 4 guys playing music most nights, soft type songs etc, rumour has it that a big hotel will be built. The Hemmingway bar/restaurant is a place that foreigners hang out, a bit pricey though. I've lived in Thailand for 5 years now, in the Gulf, Hat Chao Samran, 2 1/2 hours from Bangkok. Was up in Bangkok 2 weeks ago for a few days stayed in the Salil Hotel which is next to The Australian Bar, as you say Soi 11 has changed a bit. Not many tourists around and rumour has it the numbers are down in Pattaya (and Puhket). Enjoy your holiday. Keep Smiling.

How things change so quickly! I walked down Soi 11 just a few weeks ago and that open area was a huge construction site, I presume they were just finishing knocking down all the old buildings. Give it some time and they build a huge 5 star hotel there!

That's a good price for that hotel you stayed in 700 baht. I normally stay at Petals Inn soi 4. Ain't been back to Thailand in a few years because of the exchange rate..
