Bangalore to Rameshwaram by Car || 22 Kund Snan ||
You must have definitely heard the name #Rameshwaram either from your parents or grandparents. Primarily because Rameshwaram is one of the #chaardhaam of #Hindu religion & is among the #12Jyotirlinga’s of India. According to a popular legend, it was Lord #Rama who installed the Linga here.
Ramanathaswamy Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god #Shiva located on Rameswaram island in the state of #TamilNadu, India.
The purpose of your life isn’t fulfilled until you visit to all 4 dhaams.
Irrespective of your planning and plotting until the God himself calls you, you will never make it to these auspicious dhaams.
It’s my 3rd Dham as I have been to #Badrinath and #Jagannath puri already.
****Toll Charges from Bangalore to Rameshwaram****
Before entering the city, you have to pay 100 Rs towards Rameswaram municipality, speaking of which, it costed us nearly Rs 1500 in total as #toll charges.
**There is no entry fee for Ramanathaswamy #Temple in Rameshwaram*
1) Charges for Quick Darshan & 22 Kund Snan - Rs 500/- for 2 people
2) Charges of Normal Kund #Snan - Rs 50/- Per Person
Only the temple employee can extract the water from the kund and pour it on devotees. No one can directly do this.
****RameshwaramTemple Timings****
Tourists can visit the temple from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM on all days of the week.
****Best time to Visit****
The best time to visit Rameshwaram is October to April as during this period, you will find the climate on the pleasant side. Winters are mainly on the pleasant side in Rameshwaram as minimum #temperature usually touches nearly 17° C during this season.
****Is one day enough for Rameswaram?****
Yes. One day is sufficient to cover all the places in Rameswaram except #spadiga linga #darsanam for which one gas to stay overnight as such darsan is held at 4.30 to 6am daily in #Ramanathswamy temple. you need at least 2 full days to cover all important points in rameshwaram.
*********Tips for Visitors*********
1. Carry the extra pair of clothes in a waterproof bag.
2. Camera and phones aren’t permissible inside the temple. There are lockers outside temple but I suggest to leave all of them at the hotel.
3. Examine the current situation and then decide if you would like a normal darshan or special darshan.
4. Along with the main Lingam there are many more temples on the premises. Make sure you visit all of them before heading out.
5. Temple timings are 4.30 AM - 1 PM and 3 PM - 8.30 PM, plan your visit accordingly.
6. Either plan early in the morning or late in the second half of the day. Avoid the peak hours.
7. If you are visiting Rameswaram then divide your touring options into two groups. Dedicate a day for sightseeing and temple visits around Rameswaram and dedicate a day for Dhanushkodi. You can do both of these in a single day as we did but that would be like touch and go.

HI Ranjeet yes you can take your vehicle. Vehicles are allowed from 6am to 6pm. Best view you can get early morning

Hi Watched your video, it was helpful. We are planning to go soon ...we will reach early morning at rameswaram in a private vehicle. So we need not stay there but we need to take bath n refresh ourselves. Have to ask you ... Is there any place available for taking bath. Or hotels available on hourly basis. Or nearby yatri nivas is there.

Hello Prabhavinayak, Near Rameshwaram Temple there are many dharmashalas, you can easily get a room or locker on hourly basis. One is Exactly opposite to the main entrance gate of the Temple.Take a locker for 30-50 Rs and then you have some space around.but here you get a seperate room of say 5 feet by 4 feet which will cost you about 100-150 rs. And for 300 rs a room enough to accommodate 4-5 people can be availed. Please note, Hotels around the temple won't give accommodation for single person plus they don't have parking space as these are very close to temple and private vehicles are not allowed to enter near temple area. There are many lodges too getting operated by families. Rent is below 800 for non AC and upto 1000 to 1200 for Ac. If you want to stay outside of city there is place PAMBAN you can stay there in fisherman's house too. They accommodate tourist at home too. For that you need to ask any Auto riksha driver, they will guide you. Hope this might help you! After coming back,don't forget to share your rameshwaram yatra experience with us! Another question is it mandatory to take bath from all 22 Wells ? Is taking bath from agnipeeth only will be ok?

No it's not mandatory, you can only take bath in agni teerath change your clothes and have darshan. But it is believed that only after 22 kund snan , darshan is considered complete!
Can we take mobile inside the main temple?

@@ashishsharma840 For us It was Wonderful stay at JK Resort(Comfortable neat rooms with quite wide spread of Breakfast ). As we started early in morning from Bangalore, It took Nearly 8.5 Hours to reach Rameshwaram ( with 2 Breaks).
