Great video indeed. Can see the lots of change since had we visited here in 2010. We had travelled from Mysore to Ooty in the night through Mudumali Sanctuary and Nilgiri ghat. Herd of Elephants crossed the road before us twice. Was quite thrilling experience.👍

Overall road condition is fine. Lot of construction on Mysuru Road and will you not get complete 4 lane.

Yes, the one we took NH181 goes to Coimbatore.
Bengalore se ooty kitni dur hai. Bus mai jane ke liea kitne time lagte hai.Or train se jana hai to kaise jau.

Ooty is around 280kms from Bangalore. Bus main 10 hours tak lagta hoga. Train ka option nehin hai.

Take 3-4 days combining both the places. You can visit Ooty Lake, Pykara Lake, Botanical garden in Ooty. Plan to take toy train from Ooty to Conoor and take local taxi for Conoor sightseeing.
Hyderabad to Ooty. Ring road mei traffic ki condition kaisi hai easily cross ho sakte hai kya.or travel over night from Hyderabad to Ooty with family.

Don’t take ring road. Take the road from Hebbal-Yeshwantpur-Nice Road-Mysuru Expressway. In any case try to cross Bangalore early morning.

Yes, go for Ooty. You can also explore Bandipur Tiger reserve on the way.

Looks like rules have eased up a bit as nobody asked us for RTPCR or EPass. However, it would be good to carry EPass.

Suggested would be to go Ooty first and explore Masinagudi while returning back to Bangalore.
Nice video. It looks simpler route as compare to the other 36 hairpin root ? How is the ghat section in this root ? I didn’t see much clip of ghat section in the video so if you can tell a bit it’ll be helpful.

You will be fine in Gudalur-Ooty route. Ghat section is very with wider roads.

Road is good in most part till Ooty. Take the route via Gudalur, hilly section is less.

We heard about the same and was carring e-pass with us. However, nobody asked us either in Bandipur forest entry or Ooty. Please watch part-1 of this series for more info.

Thank you. It’s absolutely safe to drive through Bandipur and Mudumalai forest. Animals don’t harm unless you disturb them. Take the Gudalur route after Mudumalai.

Don't go via Kalhatty as roads are narrow with 36 hairpin bends. Plan to go via Gudalur and no need to worry about ghat section. Roads are wide and makes drive easier.

No such restriction for Karnataka registered vehicle. They do collect ₹30-50 as green tax while entering Mudumalai.
